Hmm, speaking of which, why is Ashaya being so quiet? She was so involved with the last game that her silence now only makes me wonder. I wouldn't be surprised if she was the Dark Wizard among us.

In my defense, it isn't that I'm posting little, as much as we have a handful of people that have filled up this thread, plus I thought it would be nice to actually read what people are saying instead of making random accusations. If anything, it's Vira that's acting suspicious because he's decided that I'm a Death Eater of Dark Lord simply due to the fact that I haven't posted as much as he has and I disagreed with him once.

By not posting, you appear to be guilty, as not posting is a tried and true method of a DE. That is why we are suspicous of you, not just Vira or me, but the majority of people.

    The people I suspect:

Jwlk: Not only for extremely see-through posts, but his constant defence of Mishie for no reason whatsoever.

Mishie: Jwlk is defending him, and therefore, I find him just as suspicious as jwlk.

Aekiel: I’m kind of iffy on this one and I don’t have much of a reason, but his most recent post was odd.

Ashaya: She was a big presence in the last game, but her silence now only draws attention.

So let me get this straight, all the death eaters need to do to not appear to be suspicious is just post a lot and then accuse people who don't post as much? There is no way this can go wrong, at all.

Edit: Although I do have to say though, it is very suspicious that Jwlk is defending me for no reason, for all we know he could be a well intentioned villager, or a death eater trying to make me look more suspicious.

Sorry, Mishie, not buying it. Jwlk must have a reason for defending you, which he is not saying, and honestly, jwlk doesn't seem smart enough to intentionally cast suspicion on you (sorry, jwlk, but that's how it seems). There's simply no point in doing so.

Not so much that posting makes them no longer suspicious, circumstantially it can be quite the opposite, as it is that the method of being relatively inconspicuous is a tried and true method of not being targeted. "Out of sight, out of mind," is somewhat applicable in this instance. Of course, the fact that it is an effective method, essentially causes the opposite, such that those who are relatively silent are often considered to be the most innately suspicious ones.

Of course, those who post the most are also often considered highly suspicious simply for "trying too hard"... but what can you do?

I actually went back to look at this one and he's making good points about taking things slowly and helping Fen by using logic to whittle down potential suspects. What struck you as odd?

I just..... I don't know what to say. Am I the only one who see's the circular logic here? You're suspicious of me for defending Mishie who you're suspicious of because I defended him... That just makes no sense. :facepalm

And just to be clear, I had a reason for seemingly 'defending' Mishie. The reason being that people were pushing for Mishie to be investigated when there was no reason too. He was suspected because he didn't post .(and there were at least 3 or 4 others who had the same amount of posts) I'd rather someone who's suspicious based on content be investigated rather than someone who is suspected for no reason. For example, if we investigated someone who is a big influence on the town, such as Piscis or whoever and they turn out innocent/guilty, we'll have somewhere to go off from there. This doesn't mean that you should stop watching Mishie or whoever you're suspicious off, but at this point why waste an investigation.... especially when you were suspicious of him for no reason. (As you have just proven) It just makes no sense.

Well at the very least, the more people post the more we learn about them and can analyse them. Not posting is bad because it looks as if they're trying to avoid notice. So I encourage this pressure on the people who haven't posted much even if they are innocent - it can only be a good thing for us if they post more: we get to learn more about them, they get to contribute their take on things more, so they potentially bring to light more things we'd otherwise miss, and bring fresh perspectives on all of this.

As Merill said last game, you can tell who's in which group by seeing who they defend. PEOPLE DO NOT DEFEND OTHER PEOPLE FOR NO REASON. It's easy to understand. This whole game, you've been defending Mishie because you thought he wasn't suspirious? Why? What proof do you have that he isn't a Death Eater or a Dark Wizard?

You have none. He is guilty until proven innocent. We all are.

Vira, the way you talk makes it seem like you think we have all the time in the world, and can just go at a leisurely pace. You make it seem that 2 or 3 people aren't dying every night. The Auror cannot afford to waste him time. It's possible that the Healer will die tonight, and then where will we be? We have to make the best investigations we can, using educated guesses to find the Death Eaters. Not choose on random and hope we get lucky.

The reasons you have stated for wanting Mishie investigated are not grounds enough to waste an investigation. Is any of what I'm saying registering with you? Or should I just stop talking?

You're getting it wrong, I didn't say he wasn't a Death Eater. What I'm saying is that we must make the most of our investigations. And, if we're playing the proof game, what proof do you have that he is a Death Eater? You have none. You 'suspected' him because he had 2 posts, which, once again shouldn't be enough to waste an investigation.

No, people should not defend people for no reason - or did you forget about Rehio? There's a difference.

I dunno, that’s why I said I was iffy about him. I just went back and reread his post, and you’re right, he doesn’t seem as suspicious as before.

And here you are, still defending him. How is inspecting Mishie ‘not making the most out of investigations’? He is a suspicious fuck and this is only Day Two. The game has been going on for two days, we have tons of time to inspect people. If we don’t investigate Mishie now, then we’ll just be coming back to this tomorrow, arguing over what to do. We must get him (and you) out of the way before we can proceed.

Technically, Rehio was whiteknighting Ashaya and that's reason enough, but I get what you're saying.

As an aside... I wonder if the Healer still works correctly, even if they are killed the same evening as the person they are trying to protect. Also, I hope the Dark Wizard randomly kills Death Eaters, even if they are unfortunately immune to night-kills by the reverse, since they don't know who is who aside from themselves.

Anyway, I can't remember who is was off the top of my head, but I think it makes sense to follow the suggested plan, of only stating innocence(i.e. who was investigated and deemed "innocent") if they are going to be lynched. Unfortunately, this doesn't let you know who I have investigated, but this also prevents the Death Eaters from knowing who has already been investigated except for those who are found guilty.

Of course, if the Healer dies, and I'm still alive, I will give full disclosure. Hopefully the thought at the beginning of my post holds true, so I have that opportunity even if both the Healer and I get targeted in the same night.

Oh, and as long as the Hit Wizard outlives the Healer, then even if both Healer and Sorcerer/ess visit me, they can out the Sorcerer/ess at the very least as being "the other". If I am watched the night after the Healer dies(if they do indeed die sooner rather than later), then the Hit Wizard can also catch the identity of the killing Death Eater/Dark Wizard. So, that potentially puts the rest of you to deal with only one Death Eater and one Dark Lord, and the Dark Wizard, if we haven't caught another before then.

Honestly I feel like you look at my post, and then disregard every single thing I said in it.

Like I said in the post you quoted I am not defending Mishie. At all. Inspecting Mishie is definitely not making the most out of an investigation. All you've said for the past however many pages is that he is a "suspicious fuck" and yet, when I and other people ask for a reason, you completely ignore it. You act as if the question isn't even there. The only time you answered, you said it was because I defended him. However, you have suspected him long before I defended him, so that makes no sense.

While it is only day 2, the Healer could die as early as tomorrow. To waste our investigations would be useless, and very anti town. By all means, lynch him tomorrow, but don't waste the Auror's limited potential in clearing our names/ showing who is guilty by investigating him. I don't know why you just refuse to even think about what I'm saying, but there you go.

Anyway, when/if I die, I hope somebody comes back and re-reads our little argument.

jwlk, I don't know why you think that investigating Mishie is a bad idea. Not doing so would just lead to the Ashaya debacle all over again.

Since Night 2 will be starting soon, the last thing I will say is that the Auror should investigate Mishie and end this debate once and for all.
