Eh - I'm too late for the bandwaggon, but it doesn't matter.

The next should definitely be Republic21.

    Day 1 has entered Twilight.

The twin-suns of Tatooine begin to set....

We reached consensus. Mos Eisley has chosen to send Klael to the Shooting Range. Eager to end the quarantine and resume business, the Hutts are more than happy to lend their execution grounds.

Jabba's men begin to prepare their blasters. Klael struggles in his bonds...

    Twilight has started.

Twilight is the frame of time between a successful "lynching" (in this case, choosing someone for execution at the Hutt-controlled shooting range) and the natural conclusion of the day. In twilight, you may still post and discuss anything that has happened, however you cannot vote to have anyone else to receive a Mos Eisley execution.

Day 1 was scheduled to conclude at 11:30PM EST of 31 August, which is approximately twenty-six hours from now. However, the disturbingly swift consensus and the unusual recession of Tatooine's twin-suns have temporarily accelerated the passing of this Day. Consequently, this Twilight has been shortened, and Night 1 will commence at 01:00 AM EST of 31 August, which is in approximately ninety minutes.

Astronomers of the Arkanis Sector believe that this peculiar solar incident will never happen again for another decade. Hence, it can be safely said that the rest of the Days and Nights in Tatooine shall have the standard, planetary duration of 24 Hours.

The Imperial Governor has two hours from the reaching of a successful lynch to decide whether to stop Klael's execution. If (s)he wishes to save Klael, the Governor will need to PM the Game Moderator before the end of those two hours, which coincides with the end of today's Twilight.

If the lynch is not stopped, Klael will be executed and his role will be revealed.

Posting is permitted in this thread until 01:00AM EST on 31 August 2011.

I'm amazed that so many people were all, "I don't think it's Klael, but meh." If you don't think I'm it, then don't waste your vote on me! Try to find the REAL guys to kill instead of just bandwagoning. :p

    EDIT: Whoops, sorry, I'm retarded.

Those waiting execution cannot speak, as stated in the previous post. Unless you've somehow miraculously by-passed your bonds, I doubt that you possess the ability to speak.

Klael, it's only Day 1 and we don't have enough information to lynch anyone and to not lynch someone would be stupid. Yes, it's unfortunate that you were the one bandwagoned, but someone had to take the fall.

    Day 1 has concluded.

    A death has been confirmed....

Without the saving pardon of the Imperial Governor, Jabba's men raise their blasters and fire. The sound of energy bolts can be heard, as Klael chokes and falls at the Mos Eisley Shooting Range, lifeless. However, the tell-tale, blue insignia of the Rebel Alliance is nowhere to be seen...

It appears that Klael was a common thief, a mere Civilian. His unscrupulous behaviour was no more than a sign of his backwater, Tatooine heritage!

Posting should cease in this thread until 01:00AM EST on 1 September 2011. However, because of a shortened Twilight, I will allow posting to continue for another hour, at which Merrill II will close this thread.

Players with night actions need to bold their actions when PMing them to me. You will receive a PM detailing how to utilise your Night Actions. Failure to use the correct format will simply result in recording a non-action by me in the player log. I will return a response to PMs sent to me.

Shame, I thought that would be the case but I had no logical reason to get people to vote otherwise.

    Night 1 has concluded.

Some of us did not survive the night...

Last night, a hooded figure with a DH-17 blaster pistol broke into the home of OntheImportanceofLungs, killing the victim. The next morning, the relevant medical files had vanished! The body had also been cleaned-up. Without this data, we cannot ascertain the ROLE of OntheImportanceofLungs!

There was also electrical interference with some of Mos Eisley's communications equipment. Some citizens claim to have seen a small, round Droid scuttling around the starport's central computer....

Killing off one of the vocal members of the community. Understandable, if reprehensible. Why go to the trouble of cleaning up the evidence so soon, though? I personally doubt Lungs was in any position of power.

I agree ALB. The kill on lungs doesn't really make sense. By the way he was acting he almost definitely didn't have a power-role and his relative newness to the game wouldn't really make him a big threat to the rebels.

Seems like this kill wasn't really thought through by the rebels at all.

Tricksy rebel mind games. Their evil Jedis could've used their powers to make us believe that Lungs wasn't important. Or, alternatively, what Kai said.

I'm pretty sure Lungs would have been lynched anyway pretty soon and with the cover up of his role this just seems really weird. Maybe the rebels are just stupid or maybe it's an attempt to take suspicion off of Oliver, since they were pretty much clumped together yesterday?

I'm so confused right now. I hope he didn't have an important role.

This is more mind games than expected. Honestly, it is impossible to know if Lungs was important or not. There is two possibilities for the fact that something, the covering up of a body, that can only be used twice, is used here. One, he had an important role and ze rebels didn't want us to know what it was. Two, he was not important and the cover up is used to confuse us. Considering, as I said, they only have TWO uses of it, that seems unlikely... but considering it is unlikely, they could have done it because that is true. Dun dun dun.

Zeit: Question, do the rebels have to use the cover up (hide role ability) when they submit the kill? (ie: Do the rebels know what role Lungs had, or are they as blind as we are in this regard)

Unless Lungs straight up told the rebels his role, there is no way for them, or us for that matter, to know what part he played until this is all over. A wasted effort by the rebellion, throwing resources at people blindly like that.

It just makes our jobs easier to weed them out.

Oh derpy, I just reread the Senator ability primer.

Senator finds out the role after lungs died.

---------- Post automerged at 04:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:26 PM ----------

Presumably, he has since then shared it with the other rebels.

The relevant parts have been bolded.

The Senator received a PM regarding Lungs' role after the successful kill; the Senator did not know Lungs' role prior to choosing to "clean", and had to make the decision before the Rebel Alliance reached a consensus over their next target.

Obviously, one shot has been expended, and the Senator may only use his/her ability once more.
