There's already multiple ways to navigate to the first unread post in a thread. Such as this:

    Otherwise, yay!

No, but it's a good idea for those who don't know it's there. (Link to FFFN)

Clearly I need to make this more obvious. :)

Been browsing this site for almost two years now, first time I've ever seen that button >_>
Anyways, I think the most important thing would be the post count restriction to being able to create new threads in For Review. But perhaps I'm biased or cynical.

Yeah, me too. I have the feeling Raven just added it, hence the obvious comment.

I personally think that defeats the point of WbA a bit, Anarchy.

And lol, mknote. I was trying to figure out if that used to be there before or not until you pointed out the context of Raven's comment. >.<

Hmm, I have no idea how complicated this would be to do, but it would be neat if, when one is in the advanced reply interface, the list of posts at the bottom automatically updated with new additions that have been added while you're still working on yours. That way, we could change our post to take into account the new one and it would solve the being ninja'd issue.

Another way of doing this is employed on a SMF 2.0 RC3 forum [it's not vBulletin, I know]. There may be a vB equivalent.

After typing your reply in the advanced reply interface you click "post". If no new replies have been made, the post is made as normal.

If new posts have appeared in the thread, then instead of posting the new reply it'll send you back to the advanced reply interface with a warning about the new posts. This gives you a chance to alter your post, or scrap it altogether, if you've been ninja'd.

There's a plugin for this somewhere, I'll hunt it down.

Well, for pseudo-perfectionists like me, there's the "Preview Post" button, which - wait for it - lets you preview your post before actually submitting it. When you hit that, you see how your post is gonna look, and if you look below it you'll also see that any new posts added since the beginning of your obviously epic post.

Not perfect, since you can't quote those or any other posts as easily as beforehand, but still, it shows the text of any ninja posts.

And honestly, I *like* seeing a few posts with "EDIT: ninja'd by Jon" or "Edit: fucking Oz ninja'd me!" in them. Makes me smile, it does.

    Or you could do that...

I may of mentioned this before, but perhaps my biggest wish for DLP would be the ability to use this button:

Throughout all forums and threads. As far as I am aware, it's only available when viewing list of forums or sub forums. The ability to mark individual threads as read would be awesome.

One idea that could be implemented if "go to last scroll position when you open a thread" is implemented:

An option that can be ticked in the User CP that only loads unseen pictures in threads (excluding sigs), i.e. only load pictures south of the last scroll position.

Main reason for this is that the picture threads have a long load time, especially if you view threads in, say, 100 posts a page. It's a bit annoying opening a thread to where you have read up to previously, and the page then keeps scrolling away from you as pictures load. Especially on mobile devices.

    This.
If it's possible, it would be great to change that.

We really need one or two new mods for the library. It seems Tinn was actually the only one working in there. The oldest entry in HP For Review was submitted in June, and in Other Fandoms in May.

But, please, don't assign this task to one of our authors - they shall write, not stuff bookshelves.

    Suggestion for intro subforum:

Since we don't have an intro subforum anymore, what if we require new users to post an intro on their public profile page as a visitor message.

I wouldn't mind being a mod for Other Fandoms. I tend to post most of my suggested fics in that area anyway. :)
