Yes, it's definitely within the realm of doability, just a touch more complicated than making a skin for one of the chapters that uses standard-pattern armor and common marine gear.

And the fact that all of them have psychic abilities may just be a tad too overpowered in the game to implement.

Finished the game. It was nicely entertaining, though I was a bit annoyed by the fact that any time you got a heavy bolter/autocannon or the jump pack/thunder hammer combination, the game instantly became incredibly easy. The final boss fight was also a bit annoying, just because it was all one big quicktime event.

Aside from the final boss fight, I was pretty happy overall. The one or two overpowered weapons weren't always available, and the nastiness of the Thunder Hammer/Jump pack combo is somewhat offset by the fact that you have to give up your better ranged weapons to use it. If you want to kill lots of Orks and Chaos, you'll enjoy it.

I spent $50 on it, and got another game with it for free, and I'd class myself as satisfied with it. I haven't had much of a chance to check out the multiplayer though; that's likely to be a big deal for some folks.

Also, it's a minor thing, but the Ork combat taunts are annoying as hell, mostly because there's pretty much only one combat taunt, and they say it all the freaking time. Then again, the fact that every two seconds another Ork yells "Get the Space Marine!" makes killing them very satisfying.

Edit: Tried the multiplayer for a while. It's a lot of fun, but the fact that you have to unlock all the good wargear by playing in multiplayer is a bit annoying. Winning when all you have is a basic bolter, and you're up against someone who's already unlocked all the goodies can be a bit frustrating.

The Thousand Sons win again, and we only needed two posts to do it. Just as planned.

Been playing it. It's made more for a controller then a keyboard with the fast paced action and the autoaiming, but it's not bad. Way too linear and simple though.

Huh, I didn't have any problem controlling it keyboard wise.

I'll agree it was simple and linear though. But I'd have to posit that it was out to tell a story in a fairly direct fashion, and that it did that part rather well. I enjoyed the combat, the moments that were supposed to be epic were, appropriately.

Playing this online is going to be so much fun.
