Gotta be honest, almost none of these seem interesting. :/

Person of Interest looks like a rehash of Early Edition, which could be a good thing, but I'm definitely withholding judgment.

I'm bummed that New Girl didn't do well, the premise sounds like a decent sitcom. I'm now only excited about returning shows Harry's Law, Supernatural, NCIS, House, and How I Met Your Mother. there are some alright other shows but I've actually been waiting for these.

Just saying... Castle returns tonight. None of these new shows can hold a candle to that. Or Bones... or the Mentalist. Wow. I just realized I have no life. *Forever Alone*

Yeah, I'm looking forward to the New Castle. And the new Mentalist.

Just saw New Girl last night.

    Positives: Damon Wayans Jr.
    The Douchebag Jar
Zooey (am I the only one who wants to pronounce it Zoo-ee?
Apparently, the second 'o' is silent) is fuckin' cute.

Negatives: Damn near everything else. It kind of felt like a less-funny version of Happy Endings, which with Big bang Theory and the Mentalist, is one of the only returning shows I'm looking forward to.

That said, I laughed. Might watch it again, but I won't be heartbroken if i miss it.

Heh. I thought that was Katy Perry. Goes to show how disconnected I am, huh.

I also caught a single scene from Unforgettable - she finds a murder weapon in a drain after she Remembers Something. The scene was three minutes long. 30 seconds in, I asked my wife, "What the fuck is wrong with her lips?"

She answered, "Too much botox." And she was right. Then she said, "And her roots are showing." And she was right again.

    Too distracting.

As Little Chicago said, Happy Endings is the show that's worth looking forward to.

I had to watch 2 Broke Girls, as I know one of the girls in the show. Unfortunately, I didn't love it. Ah well.

Anyone else watch Person of Interest tonight?

I was fairly bored through the first half hour, but felt it picked up in the back half. Little too much angst to start, but badassery to finish it off. The James Caviezel character reminded me a little of Clint Eastwood in the Dollars Trilogy

I liked Person of Interest tonight, but Prime Suspect was complete meh. Not going to bother rec'ing it to anyone I know for anything, but I might still end up watching it "just because".

On another note: I absolutely love The Big Bang Theory. Haven't laughed so hard because of a TV show in a long time.

saw the first two episodes of Ringer and I really liked it. Will follow this one if it stays like this.

Will take a look into Terra Nova, Primal Suspect, Grimm and Awake otherwise.

First two episodes of How I met your Mother were great, much better than most of season six, the weakest season so far, so, I have high hopes for it. Big Bang Theory had a strong first episode but a meh second episode.

    Also looking forward to Supernatural

New Girl was okay, I liked A Gifted Man and Ringer.

I especially liked The Fades and Fresh Meat. Two new british series, The Fades is about a kid that "sees dead people" and Fresh Meat is about a bunch of freshmen kids living together at Uni with a Inbetweeners-like humor.

Seconding this. There's only one ep, but it's pretty good. This show does NOT involve the character's solving ghost's grievances by bringing justice to those that killed them, bullied them, etc. so that they can "pass on". This show looks like it's going to have a more original plot. I'm looking forward to it.

I went through a marathon of new shows last night.

Ringer - Decent first two episodes. I'll keep watching because of SMG and the song choice (Is this Laura Veirs famous in America? I'd never heard of her but she's nice).

New Girl - Many hit or miss jokes but they mostly hit for me. Interesting premise and actors. Plus dorky girl character... Me want.

2 Broke Girls - I chuckled a couple of times but that was it. I usually like Kat Denning, but her character (mostly how she portrayed it, I think) was meh. Hated the blond. Dropped it.

Free Agents - I enjoyed it, generally speaking. The side characters are barely outlined right now, but that's normal so soon in a sit-com. Hank Azaria is great. I'm looking forward to more.

The Playboy Club - This could be the greatest new show, given enough time. Potential doesn't begin to cover it. Good characters, great setting and interesting (start to the) plot. The secondary storylines they foreshadowed in the pilot seemed more interesting than the main one too, and if handled well... I have high hopes for it.

Unforgettable - Bad characters and dialogue killed it immediately for me. I stayed till the end of the pilot doubting that it could get even worse, but it did. No. Just no.

ABC has put up the pilot for Suburgatory on their site: http://abc.go.com/watch/gate/suburgatory

I don't know how long this code is good for though: ta2wFhnlv

It's pretty funny. I'll give it a chance when it airs.

Meh. This is an incredibly weak line-up.

Ringer, Last Man Standing, Once Upon A Time, Terra Nova, I Hate My Teenage Daughter and Grimm seem the ones I'll most likely make an effort to follow.

Also, WTF @ Allen Gregory. How did that get made? :fire

Watched Person of Interest, didn't like it that much. Might follow it if I have absolutely nothing better to do but it seemed quite generic and rushed at times.

Up all Night was decent, might tune in from time to time but I never laughed, so, not that funny either. Have hopes for it though.

My wife wanted to watch Up All Night's second ep. We got half way through, didn't laugh once, and she told me to turn it off. We watched the Mentalist instead... which, in an ironic twist, did make me laugh.

Why in the fuck are you watching the telly when you and I and all the rest of DLP know good and goddamn well that you are to be doing nothing - at all - aside from writing When He Finds Out...

    /disappoint

And seeing a reference to your wife has killed all the bromantical feelings I once harbored for you, LC.
