As Night approaches, the villagers come out of their homes to tally their votes. The votes are counted one by one, and the townsfolk shout in glee as Aziraphale is dragged out of his home by two silver-masked individuals (oddly with name tags reading Aekiel and Hashasheen attached to their lapels).

The two shout, "AVADA KEDAVRA!", aiming their wands squarely at the trembling man. Unfortunately, they crossed streams, and accidentally the world. Who you gonna call?

Luckily, Lutris the Gentle God snapped his fingers and fixed the Town up in a jiffie. He's such a cool guy, isn't he? Night falls, and the townsfolk, satisfied with the bloodshed, return to their homes to await the dawn.

Hi guys. i waited a little to see if anyone would post but it seems like no-one will!

So I'd like to hear from the following people, IN THIS ORDER, about their thoughts on day 1.

1. Moridin
2. lungs
3. Rehio

Some points of discussion might be Ashaya getting lump, the anti-lurker lynching strategy and aziraphale's response to that.

I'd also like it if you guys came up with 1-2 people you think are scummy based on day1!

Other people I'd like to see talking more are castiel and jas.

A few things for everyone:

Are you happy with how you've posted so far this game? If no, why not?

Does anyone in particular stand out as scummy to you? (it's usually +ev town to share who you think is scummy, unless you're crazy and have like a 12 people scumlist)

Is lynching a lurker an ok thing to do for today? Or should we pressure someone who is actually posting (this kinda ties into the last question).

I'll answer my first question with a yes, for obvious reasons. The other two I'll leave for a while since I know the effects of my pointing out people as scummy!

Ashaya getting lump... I don't really have a problem with that, though I probably wouldn't have voted for her myself. I think the priest should check the lump holder anyway, even if he/she shouldn't reveal even if she is scum. While the holding of lump is important, this early in the game it's somewhat weaker than later on when there are fewer people, so I'm waiting to get a better read on her. That's not easy to do, however, which is why I would have voted for someone else.

Anti-lurker lynching is fine up to a point, but the stronger witches will not be lurking. Partially because they are having fun and want to play, and partially because it's the best way to influence the town. Today, I think we should go after someone who is active.

Of course, anti-lurking is an effective metagaming strategy to push lurkers into playing, but Lutris would replace them soon anyway, and in the meantime we're just voting on people we don't really have a read on.

I agree that this was a fairly suspicious post. It read like a failed attempt to divert attention, to me at least. It would be stupid and very anti-town to lynch Ashaya right after we voted to give her lump - essentially destroying the lump. It would make far more sense to wait to get a better read on her especially as, like I said above, even the lump can't do too much damage in the early days, provided the other players are active and discerning.

Despite that, for some reason I didn't think Aziraphale was scum. He seems to get the same vibe of being rather affronted whenever he is being lynched (at least, that's what I thought from the other game).

I'll get back to you on the issue of a scumlist once I've woken up properly, but these are my thoughts so far.

 

I think I like you already (note: me liking you has no bearing on whether or not I think you are scum).

Sorry guys, I was at a party then a festival for like 2 days. Still not completely here yet, so I don't have much to say. I'll actually read more of these posts tomorrow when I can comprehend them.
