I was reading a fic right now where Dumbledore is(so far)slightly mad. As in drawing penises on Tom diary, and later has Minerva worried that he turned the lake water into lemons drops and that raised me a point. Does anyone know of any fic where Dumbledore started to lose it on his old age and it actually has effects on the plot(be it politics or Voldemort no longer fearing him?)

Wow, that was awful. Thank god it wasn't any longer - I noticed my hand twitching and realized it was trying to slit my other wrist of its own accord. Luckily, I wasn't holding a sharp object.

You know how football (note: not soccer or "futbol") commentators say asinine crap like, "The Steelers are six-and-oh when he carries the ball more than twenty-five times," as if that's a telling statistic and not just a number? As if you could run the ball the first 25 plays and guarantee a win? Lots of things go into winning a game, and that stat is really just an indicator that most other aspects going well, not the cause itself.

Yeah, well this story contains the word 'brat' 26 times. Twenty-fucking-six, in that one shitty word-vomit of a chapter. Does *that* make the fic suck balls? No, but it's a very good indicator that yes, the story blows walrus dick, and is one easily identifiable symptom and example of why.

 

Wat? Oh god, no, I thought it was a one-shot. Heh, I actually thought it was a fail-tastic attempt at an Evil!Dumbledore character study, and just ended at the end of that chapter.

No, if I'd attempted to read (or skim, as it turned out, but there was so much repetition that actual reading wasn't necessary) 15 chapters of that, I really would have slit my wrists. My hyperbole would have become an understatement.
