Have you even considered a scenario where both of us are innocent? Jon volunteering himself because either a) as a minor role, wanted to act as a buffer for Town or buff himself up to make a larger impact, or b) as a major role, to misdirect attempts to target him. Vira volunteering me because a) she is a Witch and she's tricksy, or b) she is not a Witch and she's still tricksy.

There's also the possibility that both or either of them are Warlock/Thrall.

Your reasoning is also flawed since it doesn't take into account a scenario where the Witches DIDN'T vote at all, or split their votes indiscriminately between the Mayoral candidates.

I'm slightly suspicious of the people who voted Jon in the bandwagon bloc without explanation - Santi and Silens, etc.

Also, the people who were in the I-don't-want-Jon-mayor bloc who cited similar reasons for his nonmayority, not because Jon is bribing me in words of Abjuration, but because I'm suspicious of bandwagonners without a cause. They might as well be lurkers... Anyhow, I think a bunch of them should come under some sort of scrutiny.

 

I do mention the case where the witches don't vote/ split their vote. But I didn't believe that was the case, and this was an assumption on my part. (read my post before that). Naturally, it is mostly speculation but I was putting my reasoning forth with a few assumptions in there. As fiat mentioned, the witches did something like this in a previous tinyhunt and were unsuccessful and this makes me less sure since I hadn't considered people having played in previous games.

And just putting it out there, the Warlock would also try and get mayor since it benefits him. Silens meager attempts to get mayor position seem very Warlocky.

The thing is, I'm pretty sure he's just dumbtown, and not scum. So the vote speaks measures as to how disruptive I think you are.

By taking the failspotlight, you create just another bandwagon. A dhulli hatewagon. And witches can get on that, and in our eyerolling, we'll be willing to overlook some crap that would have normally been tl;dr'd the shit out of.

I voted for Jon because the only other candidate was essentially Lutris. Silens was the only other candidate I considered, and his candidacy stopped before getting started. Lutris seemed to be backed by a small group of people even before he threw his own name into the ring. I am more suspicious of them than anyone else at the moment.

Jon was practically campaigning to be mayor before the roles even went out, so at least he was consistent. Had Jon not run for mayor, I would have been more suspicious of him.

 

If he was priest, we sew fucked. Le D8
