Ha. I hadn't even thought about that. Never really thought it would apply to me, but I guess it does.

All right. I don't really think you truly "got" KotOR II, but whatever. And I'll admit that my knowledge of the EU is very... selective (Honestly? I've only read about the Vong, and pretty much all of the post-films story for that matter, on Wookieepedia. I just never got into it as much as the Old Republic era, for various reasons. I keep telling myself to at least read the Thrawn books someday). I guess it's a matter of what we were first exposed to and how we went from there -- our differences in opinion regarding KotOR seem to be irreconcilable.

I think I've said all I need about this game. I'm just gonna go and pretend it doesn't exist, and maybe get around to that KotOR fanfic series I keep telling myself to write...

 

There's no need to feel bad about that, NJO and most everything post-ROTJ is pure shit. Anakin totally fulfilled the prophecy and ended the Sith threat forever, there weren't a couple of hundred more waiting backstage for their turn at fucking up the galaxy and anyone who thinks otherwise is lying sack of lies.

 

I liked NJO, some pretty decent characters (Jacen, Anakin, Vengre. I liked Ben too.) But Legacy shit on Jacen's character something awful.

 

Just got my Weekend Beta Tester Invite today.

Apparently they sent out a mass of invites to the weekend beta this coming 11th - 13th for some sort of extra-large testing period. If you're signed up you should check your email address. Lots of people are getting them.

 

I did not. I am sad.

 

I got an invite, but the download is so large that I'm forced to uninstall a bunch of stuff, even with the "required" amount of space (and an extra 10 gigs) free.

 

I want in so badly : (

 

I'm in as well, waiting for patch as we speak. CAN'T WAIT!!!

 

I know, right? My roomie has been in since frickin JULY. And she constantly taunts me/invites me watch but won't let me play on her account because of the NDR and such. It's been a vicious battle with myself not to watch her play the characters that I intend on playing.

 

Had to decline testing a few months ago. Now I can't test at all. Shit.

 

See, now you all have got me checking my email and /tester frantically to see if Ive gotten in.

Edit: Says scheduled maintenence, my ass it is. They sent game testing and beta weeked to all eu players for the first time. Their servers went kaboom.

Edit2: Apparantly everyone that has opted in for Game Testing before November 11th will be invited to this future game testing weekend. As close to open beta as this game will ever give I guess. The mail you most probably recieved was the 'friday update' telling you that you'll be invited in the future.

If you actually got invited to the Game Testing program aswell, I envy you.

Edit: Damnit, I'm not special or anything. Apparently anyone who's signed up for beta testing before today will get an invite and they're releasing a bunch of keys via some gaming sites for anyone who didn't make the cutoff. I guess it's server stress-test time...

Edit 2: I really hope that "later this month" doesn't mean Thanksgiving weekend. I'll be out of town for most of that weekend with basically no computer access.
