Reason: You would think that those experienced players will change their strategy so that they could not be read so easily.

 

Yeah, not meta gaming a whole lot, just saying Kai may just like being reckless is all. It's not like I used that knowledge to assume his guilt or innocence in this game. I only considered it after he died.

I can only think of one reason he would think to be reckless. He's protected from night actions, so it didn't matter who he pissed off as long as he wasn't lynched.

Lot of good that did him, anyway.

Anyway, I just caught up at long, long last - I'm pretty much in agreement with Irene's suspected candidates, but perhaps for different reasons.

For one, Lungs feels incredibly off in many of his posts. When he's town, he's pretty relaxed, and it shows. But now... he just seems to be trying harder, and doesn't seem to be as carefree and as jokey as he usually gets. I didn't know what to think about Zeit, other than that lynching him based on him having emotional trouble was the wrong basis to form suspicion on, but Lungs feels like a much clearer read.

Krogan; he's another big name, and while Irene has said that him pointing out that scum role was done to death, it really is a prudent thing to mention. It's very hard to avoid giving those kinds of info-slips when you're scum; like I did the same with pointing out Winterfell roles in HoT, though no one pointed it out, for some reason I cannot fathom. It's extremely telling because normal players, even those who re-read it occasionally to refresh on it, only tend to have roles related to them on the front of their mind.

But adding to that against Krogan, his arguments throughout this thread don't feel like his usual calmer self... he's overreacting to people pointing things out. And honestly, his 'defense' of Lungs didn't really stand out to me, so it seems even more like he was paranoid about getting suspected.

As to other candidates who might be scum... a name I'm starting to think of is Yeagen. He feels like me when I had just started playing mafia and landed scum; careful - very careful, tried to look like I was trying to help town along while not drawing attention to myself. He feels to me like he's been doing much the same thing.

Honestly, though, I don't see why I can't play as intelligent!Lungs once in a while. I can be serious, and my buttons were pushed a bit...

 

It's not really about how much you joke or not; I'm just trying to objectify something that's rather vague, and more often than not the best indicator you get in mafia games. You just feel different than you normally do. Like how Kai felt the same as how he did before, when he was mafia.

I wouldn't say you're more serious or less than your other plays, either. You're just focused on something different. Maybe your buttons were pushed... but I don't think it makes much difference to the overall tone I get from you.

Well, that was revealing indeed. I thought he was guilty, but I wasn't expecting him to be the leader of a Gang, and I'm not sure what that does or doesn't say about Irene, for her support of him.
Of course, that also hardly vindicates Krogan, so we will see what happens overnight... or rather, likely what doesn't happen anyway, for the reasons I mentioned previously.

I guess Silens Cursor is worth noting too, I suppose, even if I kept overlooking him, with the main drama being on Krogan and KaiDASH.

As for Lungs, well, that depends on what Krogan is, in my opinion.

Hmmm, lots to consider since I was getting a slight scum vibe off Necrule based off my cursory examination of day 1's action.

 

Well, hmm. I was a little bit suspicious of Republic21, but not enough so that I might have said anything, so I'm glad that he's dead. Now, the people most on my radar are Krogan, one of the noobs (there has to be at least one scum in there), and other people I don't think I'll name at the moment. (I want to see what they have to say, and if they try to direct conversation)

Also, Batman :/

 

I'm half-sad that I can't frivolously claim that I'm Batman anymore, and half-glad that no one else can claim to be Batman. The joke, its course, has been run. That said - it sucks to have lost Batman.

Ash: Will you do me a favor? Tell me why you find Krogan suspicious. I was crazy busy with work this week, so I didn't really read the Day 1 posts as closely as I should have.

I still think Jon is scum... but that's simply because he plays scum so damn well.
