The best of what you're looking for was written a long time ago, in a fandom which now seems far, far away.

These Dreams by Jeconais has a well done and fleshed-out Veela OFC, but to get the gist of what's going on, you'd best read the first two installments beforehand. [You'll need an account to log-in unless you find them somewhere else, but that's your problem.]

The other stories are self-contained, but build on each other. Also, they are Harry/Cho and Harry/Ginny, respectively, but IMO, this little trilogy is about the best that Jeconais wrote, back when he wrote quality stuff.

YMMV, but it sure as hell fits your criteria.

 

Strongly seconded. It's Jeconais, which means you know some of the characterizations are going to be iffy, but the Heart Trilogy is definitely amongst his best works.

He gave up trying to produce quality work and announced that he switched to writing just stuff he wanted to read himself. When the author sets out to write a guilty pleasure fic, it's not going to be a liteary masterpiece. It's almost like writing down a masturbation fantasy. Instead of improving, the quality of his work went down after that decision.

 

That's not to say his older work was all good - perhaps 30-40% of it was worth reading.

 

So, medicore author decided to say 'fuck it', and only write self-pleasure fics? Why upload them then, if they're for his own personal read?

 

Because he can.

And he still has a fanbase ejaculating to every word he posts.

 

THere was this fanfic were harry had this harem power over anything female, but had terrible skills with a wand, great magic skills with everything else. ALso as much as women loved him, males detested him. THe veela joined with him, as they were the descendant of maenads, and saw him as the reincarnation of their god. ALbus was a bad guy, while remus was a giant git. ANyone have the link?

 

It's long since abandoned, like all of her fics, but Twisted Biscuit's A Thousand Twitterpated Twits is, for the two chapters that got written, quite an amusing take on the idea of a Veela mating season. Basically, there's a Veela at Hogwarts, during the Triwizard Tournament, and it's mating season. Chaos starts to ensue.

I actually really like it, and didn't get that feeling at all. At what point did you get that feeling? If it's the second one they don't get together in it. If it's the third then I'm pretty sure she's in her mid twenties which I don't really get the pedo vibes. Either way Jeconais is pretty polarizing I suppose.

 

I kinda understand what Jorm means, but I got the feeling that I should be feeling that. So a meta-feeling, I suppose. I still enjoyed reading the story.

 

It's mainly the whole 'kid wanting to be adult's lover' kind of thing. The general 'feel' of the story just creeps me out, bigtime.

The writing is technically sound, though, and the character interactions are well-written.

 

Ah ok, I can see what you're saying. I had taken it more to be a cute sense of her wanting to be married to him because she had a crush on him, and not so much the lover part but I can definitely see how you might pick that up.
