Dude, I may be a one woman man, but I can have all the bros I want.

I've got, like, at least... two, right now.

In my defense, I also got sucked into Happy Endings, which I had never even heard of before it was mentioned in this thread. So thanks, LittleChicago.

Tried Watching Prime Suspect again tonight. Got about ten minutes in and said fuck it. I don't like this show for many reasons. Charlie's Angels on the other hand was pretty good.

Second episode of Person of Interest wasn't that great either. That guy is just too good for there to be any drama. It was almost cartoonish when he went into the den with several criminal hitmen and beat them all up. So much so, that I didn't believe when that one assassin was able to keep up with him in a fight.

I mean, the superhacker who can pretty much access everything and the super agent who can defeat everyone and tail everyone, it's almost silly how "overpowered" they are.

The 2nd episode of Person of Interest was weak. I dislike it for different reasons though. The protagonist is so "tough guy" that he's almost a caricature of himself. His low, raspy voice is especially grating. It also seems retarded that he leaves all of the assassins alive. Does that seem stupid to anyone else? You've interfered with a professional contract killer, wounded and shamed them, rescued their target, and let them see your face. Does it seem like a good idea to let that assassin live? How about multiple assassins? Wealthy, ruthless, organised criminals? Or a crime boss who's infamous for taking a piece of all freelance assassination jobs in the city?

There are a lot of stupid things in this show. I prefer Burn Notice. They're both very formulaic shows about ex-assassins/spies who save people in need every episode, they operate against the law, and there's an over-arcing mystery that the protagonist is trying to solve. The biggest difference is that Burn Notice knows how to have fun. It doesn't take itself as seriously as Person of Interest does. And the BN team is usually working against the odds. The tactics they employ are interesting [disguises, subterfuge, snipers, explosives, break-and-enter, etc], as are the characters. Opposed to its name, Person of Interest has very uninteresting characters.

I don't know what else to say. Person of Interest is off my wanted list.

I watched Suburgatory and I think it could be good. I'm not really sure where it's headed and I'm not really sure if that's a good thing, but I've decided I'll follow it warily, at least for a while. The girl is pretty much an older version of the Hermione I always pictured in my mind before the movies - wavy hair, big teeth and kinda cute.

Up All Night was so-so and How to Be a Gentleman was terrible. Maybe I'll catch the next episodes of the former, if I find myself bored enough.

I enjoyed the witty banter in Suburgatory, especially between father and daughter, but it wasn't enough to hook me. It reminds me of Easy A, which isn't a bad thing. The show feels too PG family-oriented; I doubt it'll be bold enough to keep my attention.

Watched most pilots and the only thing I'm gonna follow is Homeland. None of the rest of the shows are worth bumping something else off my DVR.

For anyone who is possibly interested in Homeland but hasn't checked out yet; it's got Morena Baccarin titties. Maybe that'll be incentive.

I saw the trailer and was interested because of Damien Lewis, but hadn't realized it had Claire Danes, Morena Baccarin, and Inigo Montoya.

Makes me wish I still got Showtime. I haven't really cared about Criminal Minds since he left.

And now I *really* wish I still got Showtime...

Have to agree on Prime Suspect. I watched the first episode and thought, "Meh, I'll give it another shot." Then when the next episode couldn't hold my interest, I said fuck it and changed the channel to, well, I don't know, but it must've been more interesting.

Honestly, there's not much out there I care to invest the time into watching. On the one hand, I can become invested into one episode of almost any show, but by and large, I can't be bothered to make the time to even TiVo shows on a consistent basis, let alone sit down and watch them when they air.

Over the last couple years, the only shows I've watched on a week-to-week basis have been Biggest Loser and America's Got Talent. I hate reality shows like Big Brother, Survivor (after the first couple seasons), American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, The Sing-Off, yada yada yada, but the two I watch, I enjoy the hell out of.

Maybe it's because I feel those other shows are far more about made-up drama and supposedly pretty people supposedly hooking up, and while AGT is a lot about train wrecks, no one but the host on Biggest Loser is anywhere *near* hot.

*note: Alison Sweeney is fucking fine. Seriously, MILF-y as hell.

See Morena Baccarin naked before I die- *check*

Now I can rewatch the show and actually pay attention to plot lines and acting.

Portus: I used to enjoy Biggest Loser. But lately, it seems like they specifically cast people who will cry. They go out of their goddamn way to make sure there are fucking criers on that show, and it drives me away.

    But Bob is still awesome.

Lately, I'm all about the comedy. Big Bang is still good, Happy Endings came back strong, and I'm actually enjoying Whitney, which is new (same woman who created Two Broke Girls, which I haven't seen; this one is autobiographical).

Yay! Two shows I liked got axed already!

The first two new series to be cancelled are both from NBC, The Playboy Club and Free Agents, after three episodes the former and four the latter. The fact they only let them live so briefly is probably the most maddening thing. Being given three or four episodes isn't even a chance. Fuckers...

Based on a few episodes Unforgettable has been pretty interesting. The main lead is hot and doesn't shy away from using her "powers" to earn a little extra cash. Hope it doesn't fall completely into the procedural ditch like many other cop shows.

Homeland didn't capture my attention as much as I thought it would. Same with Terra Nova.

Won't even mention Charlie's Angels which I watched for one episode. Totally formulaic and boring. Yes the women were attractive and all but there just wasn't anything more to it than that. Also the fight scenes were horribly shot if I remember correctly.

Apparently Charlie's Angels was canceled after only 7 episodes. And here I thought Fox was bad about canceling shows prematurely. Way to go ABC.

Anyone still following Terra Nova or Person of Interest? I'm Terra Nova started terribly, and I haven't followed it. Person of Interest... I got bored after a couple of episodes. Does it start improving?

Terra Nova in my opinion at least has gotten better than the first few episodes, there's still a lot more focus on family drama bullshit than I'd like but they've started focusing a lot more on the wider picture of Terra Nova, The Sixers and the overall theme "Control the past to control the future."

Taylor is the guy who really makes the show for me, he had some particularly awesome scenes in the latest episodes including my personal favorite when Mira and her troops came up to the front gate to retrieve this little girl of theirs that had come to Terra Nova. After the little confrontation was over and Mira was starting to leave he just stared at her and told her something to the effect of "This is the second time you've come to my door with weapons, there will never be a third. If you come here again with guns in hand to try and intimidate my people I will go to war and I will destroy everything, you have my word on that." That scene alone made up for all the Shannon family crap in that episode to me.

If anything, Terra Nova got even more network TV-ish. I followed it halfway into episode 6 [investigation into murder by dinosaur]. It got so preachy and predictable that I just turned it off in disgust and didn't pick it up again. There's some really cool and interesting stuff going on in Terra Nova, but it treats its audience like children and feeds them mush.

I didn't watch Person of Interest past the first few episodes either. It managed to be boring and melodramatic at the same time. I'd like to know if it gets better too.

edit: Krogan mentioned some of the cool stuff that happens in Terra Nova, and that episode with the little sixer girl was actually okay. The rest of the crap that happens in that show is as annoying as hell. There's not enough meat to the show to make it worth putting up with everything else.

I don't know if I'd really agree with that, they've certainly pulled out some cliche as hell ideas and I'm not denying that but there are other parts that are fairly interesting like the brat son of Shannon robbing his moms clinic to steal medicine for the Sixers so they'll bring his girlfriend to Terra Nova or one of the top scientists on the expedition turning out to be a fraud who tries to murder the know it all daughter when she figures it out.
