Chapter was pretty cool IMO. Some cool, if slightly ridiculous techniques from the new six paths. Raises the question of whether they can use all of the powers that Nagato had as well as their own jutsu.

Fanart at the end was sweet.

Everyone seems to be busting out the bijuu powers for next chapter, should be fun. Kyuubi is starting to look a bit wistful. As if we don't know where that's going.

Tobi is mindfucking me sufficiently. Who the hell is this guy? Now that he's past the mwahahaha!villain stage and his personality is starting to get fleshed out, he has me pretty interested. I don't think he's just a pretender though. At the very least he collaborated with Madara back in the day. Dude knows too much to simply be Madara's student or lackey, I think.

I'm starting to get a little worried though about what happens after this battle. Sasuke and Kabuto are still out there, and I swear to God if one of them gets slated for the final villain position I'm gonna flip my shit. Manga is pretty entertaining at the moment and I'd hate to see all this awesome lead to some bullshit for an ending.

I thought the Curbstomp Konoha arc was long, but this one is still going strong. Not that that's a bad thing.

 

As much as you don't want it to be true Howdy, you know that it will be. Disappointing, but most likely going to happen.

It wouldn't be as bad if it was Kabuto, since he has some claim to the spot, but if Sasuke is the big bad Naruto will have been ruined.

 

If the final villain will not be Tobi, I think it will be Orochimaru. Right now he is only sealed not death and with Itachi around he has a big chance to get released.

Sasuke may be the final enemy of Naruto though, since he is not on the level of Tobi or Kabuto in terms of being dangerous to the Alliance. His battle with Uzumaki would be personal and even if he did win, the rest of Shinobi would rather easily finish him off, because he doesn't have any army to fight the masses.

As for Tobi I'm very curious who he is. He is not Madara for sure, because they are too different in the personality. We don't even know if he is Uchiha, since I don't think he ever turned his right Sharingan off, which means it too could be transplanted. But if it will be someone we heard about, then I predict him to be Naruto-like character from the past - like Obito or Nawaki.

 

Seems that Minato was right that the Kyuubi's power would allow Naruto to subvert Tobi's space/time shenanigans. Though how that works, and how he came to that conclusion, I have no idea.

 

Is there a reason no one has helped Naruto increase his understanding of handseals? Even just a few...

That's what I was thinking... something to do with the Yang specifically, as the Fourth intentionally sealed the Yin away -something he realized after Tobi used it on him. Things would've been a lot different if he had been a bit selfish and sealed the Kyuubi away in Kushina. There certainly wouldn't have been a 4th Great War.

 

Not necessarily. Even if Kushina could seal the Kyuubi away for enough time to foil Tobi's plans (and that's quite iffy), there's no guarantee he wouldn't have have found some other way to do something nasty. Tobi has spent decades working on his plan and building up resources; I expect that if he couldn't use the tailed beasts he'd adapt his plans and find some other way to cause trouble rather than just give up and go home.

 

I don't mean he wouldn't have tried to press war... I mean the 4th would've kicked his ass before it got to that point, because he wouldn't have died unnecessarily.

I found this, watched it and was really impressed. Its a fan made video of Orochimaru and Sasori's fight at the bridge and its awesomely made and something I am sure most of you would have wanted to see.

Assassin!Bee is awesome. It's chapters like this that I remember why it's so great to see a "well rounded" ninja in action in this series.

I feel as though Bee is channeling Jiraiya, as if Kishimoto knew he had to kill off Jiraiya to move along Naruto's development but that having him absent in the story would have made it suck so much more. It's no coincidence that right after Jiraiya dies, Bee is introduced to fill that top level awesome but quirky slot that was left open in Jiraiya's absence.

 

Anyone recall that horrible spin-off manga about Rock Lee?

Well it's getting an anime.

 

As much as I enjoyed the quirkiness, if they are going to make an anime based on Lee, they better make a "serious" one, where we see him overcoming the odds of the shinobi world which are heavily stacked against him.

I still think Lee would make a much more interesting main character than Naruto >_>
