Forgive me if this has been mentioned before, but has anyone else noticed that the Time Vortex in the title scene has been getting steadily more chaotic and violent as the series go on?

 

Ok, that's a pretty cool catch. I hadn't noticed that, but I'll definitely check it out now.

Five mini-episodes from Sixth Series DVD.

 

Those were absolutely fantastic. Definitely made me love Doctor Who all over again.

The last one was too different though. A very obvious prequel to a previous episode. The rest were just character pieces and amazing though. Made me remember the Library episodes with sadness though.

 

The second one was good.

The fourth one was great.

Yeah, this will keep me happy until the Christmas special in 3 weeks!

I don't have a link but the official Dr. Who fb says Moffat has announced that the coming season will be the ponds last and then the Doctor will meet a new friend.

 

Hmmm, I'm not quite sure what to think of that. On one hand, Amy started off as an excellent companion and definitely grew to be my favorite somewhere around the end of sesaon 5 and the start of season 6. However, I started really getting over her around the end of season 6. That is possibly more to do with the writing than the acting however.

Rory on the other hand was a bit different, I absolutely despised him at the start of season 5, started liking him a bit at the end of season 5, then he was just a badass in "A Good Man Goes to War".

Overall, my favorite companions by far. (Though I've only seen the new series)

What I'm really wondering though, is how long will Matt Smith remain The Doctor.
