Apparently Nolan has been pushing like a faggot for WB promising to never continue with these movies, nor make more than theee.

Warner Brothers needs to cool the fuck down over Batman and Superman movies. Green Lantern was a good start to branching out, but they could do so much more. I for one would love to see a Starman or Captain Marvel movie. Aquaman could be great, and if I saw a Hawkman/Hawkgirl film, I'd probably faint from sheer joy. So many damn possibilities and genres in which to delve into with their characters that it's ridiculous.

The biggest issue with the next batman is if they are able to live up to the standards they set for themselves. To me, this is receiving a lot of attention right now cause all batman movies before Nolan's were not great at all. There are so many batman movies than we just got used to disappointing batman movies, except Nolan's. If he is able to create another great movie, then he'll be praised. But it's going to be a huge task cause what made the first batman so great was the performance of Heath Ledger.

Considering this clown (pun intended) has been posting all over the forum with stupid fluff, and now this, I call troll. There's no way you can't know that The Dark Knight was a sequel, the thread is Batman 3, not 2. I call troll, moderately successful.

On the topic of the thread, Cracked had an article I shan't be linking as honestly, it basically is conspiracy level paranoia about the new movie and contains massive theoretical spoilers.

Sometimes we do not get a choice.

Edit: So nobody else was drinking at lunch? No?

    Fair play.

Actually, that essay was done by an outside writer, and it's not so much paranoia as a very well thought out dissertation, he shows evidence, gives his hypothesis and then supports it really well. For those who do want to read it, I am more than willing to link it here.

    Alternatively, quite simply, Justice League.

Or, if WB is worried that not enough people know about DC's superhero team, they can always do a Batman/Superman story (World's Finest) as a lead-in for a Justice League movie.

The one graphic novel I'd most want to see adapted for film, though, would be Kingdom Come.

As awesome as that would be, I doubt it'll ever happen. Pretty much all of the main characters besides Batman and Superman are unestablished to most audiences. Plus they're all older than they're usually portrayed, which seems like it'd be unattractive. Not to mention the story is fairly unconventional for a superhero film.

Maybe we'll get one of those animated adaptations though. I'd be happy with that, as long as it's given justice.

I'm somehow already out of thumbs (?!?), but I couldn't agree more. Kingdom Come was not only visually stunning, the story itself was awesome. I don't know if "Deconstruction" is exactly the correct term, but it's close enough.

It's actually called a "Reconstruction", as it addressed and countered the darker-and-edgier direction 90s comics took during the Dark/Dork age.

    @Red Aviary:
A KC movie can be done if you have at least 1 Justice League movie first, but yeah, I know... but I can dream, eh?

Who let him out of the cage again?

OT: To do a KC movie you need the DC universe to have some kind of continuity between different film franchises al la Marvel. Since we aren't gonna be that lucky any time soon, we'll all have to settle for straight-to-video animated features, at least till DC pulls its head out of it's ass.

Continuity between franchises is unlikely to happen any time soon. Doing so gives you the possibility to make great movies, but can also lead to things like the Summer Family Tree (warning: TVTropes link), and nobody wants that.
