If you want to see an anime about Lee getting roflstomped by someone just too fucking strong to look at, then that would be about the right backdrop for your story.

We can't all be Forrest Gump, especially not in the Naruto world.

Besides, Naruto wants to be Hokage to protect people like Lee, and while Lee may be a strong ninja he's not ever going to be upper crust. Not even Gai is, in my opinion. After all, in the end Kisame was pretty fucking gimmicky.

Then again, I think pretty much every character in Naruto, with the exception of Sakura, would have made a more interesting main character, but that's just me.

 

Even Sasuke? Because he turns the manga to shit enough as it is.

 

If my choice is between Naruto and Sasuke, then yes, I would prefer seeing Sasuke. Would prefer people like Kakashi, Gaara, Minato or Lee (even if the manga would have to be rather different for that, admittedly) but yeah, he would do.

At least I like Sasuke's fighting style, specifically before MS, and even the MS is more interesting than Naruto's shtick.

Eh, the problem is, whenever Sasuke's in the comic, it rapidly spirals down to its shittiest. Sasuke's presence actively makes the comic worse. That's why he's one of the few characters I'd rather the comic not be about.

 

Sasuke? A fighting style? He just stands there, bleeding through his eyes, while a spiritual giant does all the work for him.

Sasuke once did have a fighting style, but that was way back, before the time-skip and before the fucking curse mark.
I miss that Sasuke. He was an interesting character.

 

My biggest problem with Sasuke (not as a person, but as a character) is that he COULD have been really interesting. I liked his basic concept in the first part of the series..

But then Kishimoto decided to have a gender-reassignment surgery and quickly became a Sharingan/Sasuke fangirl, and the character became increasingly toxic to the level of quality in the manga.

 

I liked Sasuke's fighting style with the chider variants, but after he got the MS he seems to forgot he has techniques other than MS ones

 

Why the fuck is Bee always carrying Naruto? And why in the fuck couldn't Naruto have cought that magma fist with his chakra hands?

On another note, I reread Howdy's Wild World the other day. Still fucking fantastic. Makes me want to try writing another fic myself.

 

He's probably just trying to save as much of the Kyuubi's chakra as possible.

Incidently Howdy, are you ever going to update those stories?

 

These last couple of chapters have had a few glimpses of the nine-tails helping Naruto/seeing his pureness or w/e for himself, and ending with Bee going eight-tails full transformation. I get the feeling Naruto will get the nine-tails version within the next couple of chapters.

 

He is also probably keeping his promise to Iruka to watch over Naruto. I mean Naruto is tough and all, but he is weakened by having so many clones around and having been in Kyuubimode for so long. Besides, Bee is lot older and more experienced so I don't really think it a big deal for Bee to help Naruto.

I would like to know this too actually. Your stories are still as great as they always were and there are still lots of people who think they are great. If you ever get the urge to continue them, there are lots of people who would still read em. Wild World especially was just plain awesome. Why do so many awesome stories end up abandoned.

It would be good if one of them died though, just to- you know- show it's a war?

 

I was a little bugged by just how useless Naruto seemed in this chapter. All he did was sit on Bee's head and provide exposition while Bee did all the fighting, and then get beaten up without even landing a single attack.

Kind of curious to see how Tobi could possibly be beaten at his current power level. Kakashi and Gai are badass and all, but just the two of them aren't enough to handle Tobi and his ridiculously powerful helpers.

 

Disliked the chapter. Naruto needing to be rescued (or honestly needing help in any respect whatsoever) at this point annoys me greatly.
