    Have to agree with Wordhammer here, the more I read about the new show the more psyched I get.

    A strong yet playful female MC is an interesting change from the rather childish Aang we are used to. I have nothing against Aang but its nice to see a MC that has their priorities straight from the get go. Hopefully they wont find some way to mess that up.

    The first Avatar had a hard time selling me with the lighthearted nature of the show but by the end of the first arc I was a big fan. The idea that this is going to be set in the same interesting universe with a more mature set of topics is making me pumped for it.

    The original cast of avatar was amazing, hopefully they can fully flesh out the cast for the sequel in the 26 episodes they have planned.

    I'm looking forward to it as well and have been for a while. I think one of the greatest strengths is that they are changing it so much while keeping some elements the same. If we had another young male avatar starting out at the beginning of his training, we'd be constantly comparing him to Aang. Especially if he had 3 friends who were all benders and one particular group of people was out to get them.

    As it is we have an older female lead with two brothers as friends apparently, the children of the old characters as supporting cast, and a different kind of story. I don't think that Korra is going to have to make a journey around the world searching for people to teach her things because the only thing she doesn't know is Air, and we have Aang's kid for that.

    By changing it so much they're letting us get into a whole new story without having to constantly compare it to the old one -- I don't think there is a better way to have done it.

    But we'll have to wait and see how it turns out to be sure.

    I love the little touches they've used already, like using Tenzin (J.K. Simmons, hell yeah) to do the Katara-esque voice-over to ending with 'Water'. Even the fact that the united Republic City is located in the remnants of the Fire Nation colonies, which actually makes sense as a good, political compromise between the Earth Kingdom and Fire Nation.

    Any word on when this is officially premiering? I went back and watched the majority of Last Airbender a few weeks ago and have been hankering for this ever since.
