The year is drawing to an end and I would like to see DLP's ideas on the best game of 2011.

I personally haven't played many recent video games this year apart from Skyrim (which I feel doesn't deserve the title) so I'm more interested in what you guys have to say (partly because I'm probably going to be buying some of those games :awesome)

    So Saint's Row 2, Assassin's Creed:Revelation, MW3, BF3, Halo or others?

Despite several issues and let downs; I have to nominate Star Wars; The Old Republic.

The most engaging storyline yet seen in a mmorpg, and personally I like it more than skyrim. It beats the crap out of most single player rpgs except in graphics.

    Skyrim.

I genuinely fear the amount of time I will lose once the Creation Kit comes out.

    Skyrim. That's the correct answer.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

However, if their answer isn't Skyrim they are wrong.

Get a list of all the major titles, then make this a poll. That's the best way to do this imo.

However, I'm very very closely tied between Portal 2 and Skyrim. I honestly think Portal 2 has to take it for me though. I loved that game with a passion.

I haven't decided which, exactly, but either Disgaea 4 or Batman: Arkham City.

Oh yes- any opinions on Skyward Sword and how it rates up here? I'm about to get the game for Christmas.

Good game, really fun, definitely worth playing. Has some major flaws though.

PROBABLY not going to replay it anytime soon.

Portal 2 was pretty damn awesome. But then, so is Saints Row 3. I still think Portal 2 deserves the award, purely for the awesome story.

I think we do need a poll, just so you all can know that Portal 2 wins.

I would have said BF3, but I seem to have lost it when Skyrim came out, so...

And I can't remember any more games that came out this year. Portal 2 was good, but it'll always be less than its predecessor.

    1. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
    2. Battlefield 3
    3. TESV: Skyrim

My opinion, in order. I'll be amazed if a game in the next two years beats The Witcher 2.

For the PC definitely SWTOR. However, for consoles it would be Deus Ex: Human Revolutions.

Skyrim. Close contenders go to Arkham City and Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
