Krogan, remember that this tactic has been used before. Plenty of times. Zennith is a good player, and while I do have doubts as to his guilt now, that is precisely what the last ditch good luck is for; to suggest that they're innocent despite all evidence against them. Hell, I've used it myself in one of the games I played scum (one of the early games, possibly even Death Eaters I). It's an appeal to emotion, and an effective one at that.

Still, there is some doubt involved, and if Zennith is speaking the truth we may be losing a good town role. (Excuse me a moment I'm typing as I think now, trying to rule out what roles he wouldn't be, if he has been telling the truth about being town.)

Okay, he's said he's not immune to night kills, so he can't be the Merlin or John Stallings. The way he's been talking suggests he's not a role that can be proven, so no Dresden or Archive. He's not the Blackstaff. He was targeted by the Knights, and doesn't seem to include himself in their number. He hasn't called on anyone else to help him out, and nobody has been particularly forthcoming in his defence; not St. Giles. That leaves... The Ectomancer, Donald Morgan, Elaine Mallory, Kincaid, Johnny Marcone, Father Forthill or Susan Rodriguez.

Of course I'm still not convinced he's innocent, but there's what he could be, assuming he really is what he says he is. Based on the personal take I have of him (as well as the possible roles Stojil and I have matched up to people), I don't think he's the Ectomancer or Father Forthill. The way he has been acting suggests he doesn't have an info role, so probably not Elaine. That leaves Morgan, Kincaid, Marcone or Susan.

So... That's about it then. Stream of thought ended.

 

Aekiel, you have convinced me with that post. I hadn't been posting all day because I honestly had no real opinion on Zennith.

I know day is about to end in 9 minutes, so I am very late, but I finally feel comfortable voting for Zennith.

And now Stojil's yelling at me that the fluff for last night suggests that Zennith was saved by 'unnatural forces', which doesn't strike either of us as particularly divine in nature, especially considering the glowing lights the Knights of the Cross throw about. Stojil thinks he's either the Red King or Lara Raith, I'd narrow it down to Red King based on the whole 'unnatural' thing.

The arguments were numerous, a name was slipped out whether by purpose or accident I am not sure. The group managed to come together most strongly this day and Zennith was lynched at dusk. I fear the night will be unkind towards the town, but faith remains. Let us see what the night brings.

 

Day 4:



The were loud noises in the night. A scuffle occurred and Krogan has disappeared, for good I presume. There is no contact with him. There were two spots of battle. The first had large splashes of dried blood, as if several arteries had been opened and sprayed around. I fear the Red Court amongst us will be drawn to the site out of blood starvation. The other held a few feathers and what looks like an arrowhead pinning a piece of extremely old rope to a wall. I'm not sure what has happened during the night. A few recalled sounds of a horn and baying dogs. Has the Hunt passed us by. I am unsure what the day brings and I fear it's end.

The whore seems unusually quiet tonight, perhaps something untoward has happened?

Okay, what have we learnt from this?

The Red King is alive. Damn it.

The Hunt came through today, we don't know if it was this or the Red King who killed Krogan. The fluff suggests that two different people were targeted, but we only have one death. Either a person with night kill immunity was targeted or Father Forthill got lucky (it could be either for Zennith too, I know, though I'm still convinced he was guilty).

Secondly, this confirms that the Erlking tainted on the first day and sent the Hunt out on the second. So we can expect a taint tonight and probably a Hunt sent out the day after. This means one person has been tainted so far. We should keep track of this since the Erlking can't taint while the Hunt is out. Count the maximum number of tainted people he may have on his side. So far: 1.

Thirdly, someone is trying to implicate me as scum.

 

Looks like Nicodemus is readily available for NKing now, since he just lost the "survive once" factor.

 

Fourthly.. no sale on eBay. Roleblocked perhaps. Or Zennith/Krogan.

This is an excellent point. Going from that I'd say the Erlking targeted Nicodemus while the Red King took out Krogan.

 

If the Red Duchess was roleblocked then it wasn't by Justine. She paid me another visit last night.

 

First thing first. Uncle Stojil, can you confirm what Aekiel had been saying in his previous post? This is just pro forma.

I agree with Zenzano that probably Nicodemus spent his first NK dodging the Wild Hunt. Or maybe that is just fluff and he was saved by Father Forthill (can the feathers by angelic in origin?)

EDIT: I'm off to sleap, will be back in 12hours.

 

That's kind of stretching it franki. Why would the rope appear if Forthill blocked the kill?

As for the Red Duchess, if Justine blocked Aekiel, that only leaves Mavra. If someone could claim a Mavra block that'd go a long way to figuring this out.

 

First thing first, Aekiel is town. 100%. Revealing me as McCoy was an actual slip.


Second thing, as posted above, Nicodemus has just lost his night-protection. Flavour suggests he was attacked by the Hunt, so the Erlking now knows who Nicodemus is.


The Red King killed Krogan, or, more unlikely, Krogan was the Red King and Lara Raith killed him. This also depends on night action priority, which, apparently, it's not Riley's plan to reveal.

 

I'm not sure what happened here. :S Thought I'd share with you all in case I should be worried.

 

Another alternative is that zennith was the red king and Lara got a random scum. I'm assuming that I'm missing a clue from the flavor and that's why everyone is concluding that Nicodemus was the one that survived. I'm not familiar with the Dresden verse other than some details from crossover fanfiction.

I'm trying to figure out what actions would result in the blacking out info other than surviving a nk like zennith. Only things that I can come up with are a failed ebay sendoff and an outside chance of merlin switch due to disorientation or something.

 

Surviving a NK, Merlin switch.. roleblocking perhaps? Maybe a Dracula taint attempt? There's not really enough info to work off of. Though I don't think a roleblocked eBay attempt would show up in someone else's QT draconian.

 

Ashaya, if I were to guess based on the fluff, I'd say that the first night (chronologically) you were visited by the Red Baron or Thorned Namshiel. The second night was the Merlin.
