... I can be jocular. I just don't want to. *Sniff*

Anyway, so this isn't a wasted post

    Deadline Vote: *tuiz*

I don't trust anyone who hasn't posted yet.

Completely agree with Ves, lurking so hard is just inexcuseable (cue *tuiz* logging on and telling us how a family member was in the hospital D:)

    Deadline Lynch Vote: *tuiz*

And about that Box... Well I am obviously not getting it, so I will throw my weight behind who I think is the best candidate and thats going to have to be

    Rescind Box Vote

    Vote for Box: Vesvius

He was a pretty good Erlking in Dresden, and I definitely liked his play there and think he will do a good job in handling the (sure to be important) responsibility.

Since I'm a proponent of first day lynching, I'll jump on the bandwagon too.

    Deadline Vote: *tuiz*

Plus, I dislike people with pointless punctuation in their names.

While I don't completely approve on principle, at least the institution of deadline voting allows a person a chance to defend themselves(if they can even be bothered to come around ~_~).
    Deadline Lynch Vote: *tuiz*

As for the Box O' Doom, I'm still not particularly sold on the now-two primary candidates, but I rarely am at the beginning of a game. I don't particularly like the phase of voting uninformed, before people start having actual reasons to be voted for, one way or another.

Well here's my post. There are indeed valid reasons why I did not post, for example sleep and school. Similiar to Ashaya:
And because there already are 11 deadline votes calling for my head I will take my chances and make a post with some content (it will probably lead to my own grave but I am already halfway there):

There are two bandwagons and nobody suspects that at least some of them may be in the same faction?
And while everybody was discussing the box, nobody focused on the lynching. Suddenly Ashaya brings it up and immediately suggested me. Her reason for that is lurking. Well, I am sorry but there is my RL and living in a different time zone. Why is it all right if she does not post but if I do the same she wants to kill me?
Ash seems to be quite sure I do not belong to her fraction.
And at least I find it surprising that there is a broad consensus to kill me, more of her faction?

Last it should be said that, if you choose to kill me, the town will loose an important member.

That said: deadline vote Ashaya (because I do not trust her)

I live in a different timezone, and I have a lot RL stuff to deal with. Yet I contribute, do I not?

And then there's the fact that you claim to be an important role. You could be saying the truth, just as easily as you could be lying to save your skin.

My vote will remain for now, but I don't know guys.

---------- Post automerged at 11:35 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:34 AM ----------

    Also, it's "faction", not "fraction"

*Tuiz*, I can sympathise but largely, the day one is a random lynch. We need to get to the night and someone was always going to die, you lurking so much just makes you suspicious on day 1, where we don't really have any information.

The game is going on 30+ hours already, *Tuiz*, but well, benefit of the doubt, I'm not going to join the bandwagon - if only for the reason that lurking scum will likely not lurk that hard (which somebody already pointed out on the last page). However, your "NO YOU" reaction isn't exactly promising... and as a candidate herself, Ash wouldn't try to find the townie to vote for, but the scum to lynch, so her starting the bandwagon on you does not seem that scummish to me.

    Well, back to this:

Same for Jangel. For pressure's sake:

    Deadline Lynch Vote: Evan Tide

If you're an important role, why haven't you been more involved?

You came online about 15 hours ago (I looked at your profile) and yet you didn't post. Why, if you're so important?

Not to ignore the rest of your post, and no offense intended, but I'm reasonably sure that the relative degrees of 'all right' is merely because she has a much greater forum presence. It's rather meta, but I'll admit too, that I couldn't distinctly remember seeing your name before this game started either, despite your apparent join date of April 2010.

That said, you make a fair point as well. I'm not quite suspicious enough to vote for Ashaya quite yet(although I am somewhat suspicious of her exuberance... perhaps a role that falsely reads innocent when checked? I don't know, since she is always trying to be something significant in these games, and I'm not really surprised to see her trying to gain a 'mystery box' either.), but I am currently consoled enough to do this at least:
    Rescind Deadline Lynch Vote

We'll see, but for now, I'm back off to classes again for several hours.

    Well corrected that.
And I am no liar...thwarting the thruth, yes, but lying is not my thing.
And I wrote that I was at school and/or sleeping (after all the first does not always exclude the latter). I posted as soon as possible. Sorry if this is not enough for you. It is my innermost hope that at least a few will rescind their vote.
Nonetheless I cannot do more than try to convince some of you.

And why I did not post:
I came home at 9pm and did not notice the game was already on because I was not on DLP. I just checked e-mails with my laptop (if it's running I am automatically logged in). 15 hours ago would be around 2am here. That again was just my laptop running and me sleeping. I have to leave for school at 6.30am; I assure I was sleeping.

Depending on if you are able to put up a better defense or not, I might just put my vote back on when I get back. Sorry.

To be honest, I feel kinda sorry for *tuiz*. He/She is new to DLP Mafia and is facing a first day lynch. I vaguely recall reading his/her posts a couple of times in the forum, though nothing particularly comes to mind. Maybe he/she's just a natural lurker.

Uh, I have posted 24 times, you hadn't posted at all when I voted for you. As other people have said, Day 1 lynch is basically random, and I prefer to lynch a lurker. If they're scum, fantastic; if they are lurking town, no huge loss, as they wouldn't talk much anyway.

I brought up lynching because I was working on a mafia-related project (it involves seeing who posts the most, and cross-referencing it with their faction in that game, weird I know) and so I was looking at the 'Who Posted?' function. I noticed that you hadn't posted, and after something like 30 hours, I felt it warranted being pointed out.

And tuiz, you got on IRC, I told you to post, and you still didn't for awhile. I'm not sure what that means, but I don't like it. Clearly I am a prolific poster in these games, but I don't expect all of you to post that much. I do expect more than 1 or 2 posts after an entire day.

This means that I'm also keeping a very close eye on Vira, Jangel, and Evan Tide.

What that means? I said: I have to get shaved now. That meant nothing else than me going to the hairdresser.
I said I would post after going there. Did I not exactly do that?! o.0

    LostInThought makes a good point.

    I feel bad too.

    This amuses me.

In any case, I voted for you because I thought you were blatantly lurking and not posting. I'm willing to give you the benefit of a doubt.

However, Jangel and Evan Tide are lurking just like you did, and they normally post a fair amount. Neither particularly stands out to me, so I'm going to go with Evan Tide, as he already has a vote.

    rescind vote
    Deadline lynch vote: Evan Tide

Oh, and Fen, a game in which I don't try to grasp some sort of extra power or ability is a game in which I'm not playing.

Haven't been paying much attention to this game, but have I missed something? How do we know there's only two sides?

How long does it take to cut your hair tuiz? Its not that hard to pop in and say something! We're not expecting that much content in a first day post.
