You say I rubbed you the wrong way. However, in the next post you admit that the vote has been just a guess. Finally you stated that your primary reason for your vote was my "lurking". If this has indeed been the reason for your vote, you should place it on Vira now, who is even more passive. Nonetheless you do not do that. And, pray tell, how can I convince you if you are indeed just guessing?
Do you seem "adamant"? - Yes it really looks that way. Or maybe you just know that I am not aligned with your kind (scum).

Why you do this Evan Tide?

If there is the warlock role, we will not find out until he is suspected and you may be just giving him ammo to use for later or maybe you are the Warlock role and you just created a role to mess with us.

 

Tuiz just seems more and more scummy. He's getting too aggresive and trying too hard to redirect the heat off him.

He's the best bet we have for a Day 1 lynch.

A role reveal on day 1! What does that even mean Tide? Or did you just tell the name to reduce suspicion of you? But that doesn't make sense since there was only a small amount of suspicion on you. Why would you reveal your role? What did you hope to accomplish by it? I'll say it was a stupid move even though I doubt there's a warlock equivalent in this game.

 

It was more that I found your reasoning flimsy as hell, so I called you out on it. You're still on the scumdar because of it and your defensive as hell response (got something to hide?), but *tuiz* has jumped himself back up on to the scum list since my post, so I'm voting for him this time.

Hmm, I only really remember a Watcher role(as "Town Tracker" would seem to be) from DE2, but it seemed like it could actually have been quite the useful role. Either for confirming allies, or identifying enemies. I think their information was part of the reason we won as town, but perhaps I'm misremembering. It certainly wasn't my moderate play as an Auror, hah.:facepalm

So, yeah, it seems like a bit of a mistake to reveal your role, when there really wasn't significant suspicion against you. Of course, it could be a fake-claim, since we don't even know what roles there are, but that sounds like it would be too risky Day 1 in this format, for exactly that same reason.

 

You guys are reading too much into her post, I think? In an earlier post she said was good at tracking scum, thus I thought she was making a joke.

As for the lynch vote, I really wanted to hold off until the box vote was at least mostly in one majority to prevent a clusterfuck of votes. But, so far, it's not as bad as I imagined it.

As for Tuiz? Eh, it feels scummy, but werewolf taught me sometimes town can be stupid. Not sure either way. Evan Tide? Can't get a read, but first day lynch always is a shot in the dark. I'm come back in a few hours and read through the thread a little bit more to get a better read.

 

Okay, fair point. Probably could have worded that better. What I meant was: (1) Vesvius does more convincing than investigating. Which is all right, as he wants the box. But this makes me choose Ashaya over him. (2) I said "a tad more suspicious" - that does neither mean I think Evan Tide is town nor that other people I would vote for seemed scummish more than "just a feeling". (3) Do you disagree with bandwagoning on first day to get a Lynch?

Right now, I went from "everyone seems quite town-y" in my last post to "too many people seem scummy" in this after everyone started to attack (which I approve of --> more discussion). I don't know why Evan Tide should claim if he's town: After all, there was no one really pressing for his Lynch. So he just got top again on my scum list.

 

Right now, it looks like tuiz is either scum or a red herring that'll distract us all later in the game. Either way, he's a liability.

Looks like I made my final mistake.
If I defend myself it seems scummy and if I accuse others it seems scummy, too.
There are not many other options I have left. I feel cornered and lashed out. In retrospection it was the most stupid thing I could have done. But I suppose what is done is done.

Obviously, since I have no base of support, I will most likely be killed. Though the lack of support may be a sign for one of the following things:
1. not voting for my death is too obvious, so my own faction is killing me ( i.e. I am scum) which seems pretty unlikely to me but well...
2. The majority does not know if I belong to their faction, thus I am a villager <- which is the thing I will say till my last day (and that event seems to be pretty soon)

And not just scum. I'm great at figuring out power roles too. Just check my Dresden QT. Stojil and Kalas saw the BS silences I made, or tried to make.

Though then I derped at Castiel since he seems slightly scummy almost every game...

Because it's boring as all hell right now. All of us are running on near zero info about roles, factions, and very little tells.

We're literally spending too long dicking around when the first day is always a blind shot unless we get something really scummy from someone or a lurker dies.

Actually, I have a question for everyone. If people are actually innocent and are in danger of getting lynched, why don't they just role claim, especially if they're a semi-useful role?

I've never understood that point.

 

Well I am pretty sure it will help someone to win - most likely not the town though. If there is more than one scum faction (at least I think some posts indicat that), the town cannot afford to lose one of theirs. And like I stated before: I am town and do not lie (which again will not help me but meh...)

Tuiz, you haven't roled-claimed anything.

 

Role claims help, but as Gotham Mafia proved, getting all the roles revealed in like two days makes for a horrible game.
That's why Kai adviced against mass role-claims. Not because they can't help the town (they can), but because they make for crappy games.

On the plus side, I think I've seen enough to start forming opinions of (almost) everyone.

P.S: Is there a majority vote with the all the deadline votes in it? When is day ending?

You are right Evan, I looked back and saw that I never claimed any specific role.
I will correct that now (nothing to lose): I claim to be a magic man, on the importance scala somewhere in the middle..

Since this is my last post (and by the time I wake up I will be dead <.<) I can say that I should have just kept lurking till the last 24 hours. In the beginning 13 people called for my head because I lurked (which I did not but fuck it). Now 12 people are calling for my head because I am to aggressive. Well, I had most of the votes placed on me (7, Evan had just 4 including mine and most people did not vote yet), so it seemed unlikely that people would choose someone else - even if he/she is lurkier than me (like Vira).
When looking back it seems to me like there never was a chance to recuperate from the lurker-bandwagon. Especially because calling for a lurker-bandwagon on Vira (by Vesvius) did not work.
Personally I would prefer that you lynch Vira first and then me if you still want to. The reason for that should be obvious (and I am not accusing someone right now, just stating the facts)
So, all opinions set, all said. Make of it what you will.

Nonetheless I hope that the town wins, faction win has to count for something after all.
