You also made a list of people who hadn't voted and/or had only made one or two posts and told them to vote. They weren't going to dropped.

Missed a word...should be a "be" in there.

You mean the list I C&P'd from the forum post status and saying they didn't want to join in on the fun? How the hell does that even relate to them not dropping?

Here, I'll explain it in simpler terms.

My posts consist of three points:

    1) Make one damn post.

    2) Have fun with poll.

    3) Find out those who are all srs bsns about this game. There's a difference between wanting to win while having fun and being a killjoy about winning.

---------- Post automerged at 09:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:40 PM ----------

    Forgot point four:

Find lurkers now, since staistically, most early lurkers end up being scum more often than not.

And plenty of times, scum are the most active since they're busy throwing suspicion on anyone-but-them and pretending to be pro-town.

And plenty times, scum are the least active since they're trying not to gain the attention of everyone that isn't their scummates and pretending to be disinterested. Besides, there's a core of about half a dozen people (including me) that always have high post counts in these games, whether they're town or scum.

Hey Evan Tide, you wanna respond to this? LOL.

Actually, I'm inclined to believe Schro on this little bit. Tbh, having a random player act like a semi-mod is probably a great way to gain trust.

Of course that's probably just paranoid!Lungs screaming. Hehe, get it, my lungs are screaming-

Oh god, I'm going to get lynched for that terrible pun.

What I am actually afraid of is getting nightkilled on night one or two. Made DE3 really unfun :\

Show the statistics? I remember there were plenty of mislynches in other games when lurkers are lynched, only occasionally do they turn out to be scum. Or am I wrong?

Lungs, Why are you always striking out your sentences? That is making me paranoid.

Also, the first day is very boring. Even the fake mayor vote is not making it interesting.

LOL. I recently discovered the strike command. I used to think it was but you actually have to write out strike. Sort of like my habit of spamming D8 and egads :\

    This is the darkness.

    This is my domain.

You little things that live in the light.

Clinging to your feeble suns which die in the end.

    Only the darkness remains.

    You know my name.

    You will die here.

    All of you.

    This planet is your grave.

No, Zennith, you have to end with [/strike] as well, but the first was correct. UNLIKE GEORGE W. BUSH'S!

This is all based on post per RL day.

Gila and Sneakthief from WH:E for the first few days. 2/5 made up about 40% of the lurkers.

First Dresden, with guljons, Ves, Lindsey, Duke (Though he never posted so eh), Kensington. 1/3. Made up about 55% of the lurkers.

Gotham: Zeit, guljons, Silens, Krogan, which is 40%. Though then Gotham ended in 3 days. 2/5 scum lurked. This was about 50% of all lurkers.

A Hunt of Thrones: MattSilver, Kensington, klackerz, Taure. 1/3 of the scum lurked. Didn't really check lurker vs scum lurkers on this game, since it was the first one I watched.

And for scum who post a lot, that's usually Aekiel, Ash, draconian, and Zennith from the games I've seen when they are scum. All the other frequent-posting scum aren't in here or the players are too new to get a read on.

I always lurk. Even when I am scum or town.

Also Jon. I will destroy your prison, along with your mind.

Zeit was NOT a lurker in Bat. Nor was Krogan, iirc. I should know. I replaced him as Bane :\

You keep missing the point though - we have slightly 1/3 scum numbers - so the amount of scum who lurk and the amount of scum who don't are somewhat the same as the amount of town that lurk and the amount of town who don't in those games.

Also, you're beeping extremely loud on my scumdar. While it's usually pretty suspect, I think that the more you justify the lynching of lurkers for any other reason than "unfun", the scummier you seem.

I just listed the usual active scums that are in this game. The other players are only 2~ games in, so no patterns. Most of the others are 3+ games in, so I could find something on how they play.

I hate lurkers because it's much harder to get tells on them early on. The really good scum, like Ash was in the original DE, knew how to post a good chunk while being hiding tells. The average ones tend to give up more scum tells under pressure, like how Zennith pretty much caved in Dresden once people focused him.

Less posts = a decent scum tell late-game, but early on, I'd prefer getting people to post more so I can get reads on them, especially if they cave under pressure.

And I'm only modding my little mayor side-game. The post count is so everyone can see who's actually responding and general info. Not everyone knows how to check that. Lindsey didn't until last Dresden mafia (or was that Loch?).

Personally, I agree that lynching a lurker is generally better D1.

There may not be that much difference in the likelyhood of them being scum, but they don't post that much so they're not much loss to town.

But if there's a better target, I'll lynch them too, like Kai in Gotham.

Then Jon's what? The truth behind the myth?
