I am actually looking for a time travel story where Harry decides he already died twice for Wizarding world and says Fuck it. And goes to a holiday so he can get laid as much as possible and troll as many people as he can. I mean really in the books he is famous but dies as virgin.(his coming back non withstanding.) How lame is that?

Another thing if I were to go back in time I wouldn't go back to school. I mean what is the point?

I've read this story, Harry comes back do 'right whats wrong.' Contemplates his life, tells everyone (meaning fate, destiny, etc) to f*** off and proceeds to create his own harem just by doing whatever the hell he wants. He frees Sirius only to find out that his mother has him so pussy-whipped it isn't funny. I mean he is afraid of a trained house-elf(which might not exist) popping into place to castrate him if he: Makes a harem for himself, gets in Harry's way doing anything, drinks, gambles, or put harry into any type of danger.

Story ends with Neville being a 'Dark Lord' and must face Harry and his Harem with his own in team combat of....................a game of quidditch.

Let's just say his Odd Ideas are aptly named.

Some of his fics, while they might not have aged as well as I'd hoped, are still among my favourites (like Make a Wish), but there's no denying that stories like Larceny, Lechery and Luna Lovegood, the aforementioned Let's Do The Time Warp Again, Reunion, Hermione The Harem Girl are... not quite sane, and intentionally so at that.

 

You know who hangs out on the CaerAzkaban Yahoo!Group? The craziest guy in the fandom: Doghead Thirteen.

 

It's very true. His stories remain guilty pleasures for me and I find myself coming back to read them even thoguht I probably shouldn't.

Mind, I thought Larceny, Lechery and Luna Lovegood was pretty entertaining until he threw Luna into the story.

 

Oh yeah, he's fucking nuts.

I do like his shit, though; using all those different elements to create a FUBAR'ed world of his own? Pretty funny.

Though Harry does seem a bit of a Gary Stu.

His latest fic also does something fairly unique, and something that I haven't seen before: Lily's alive, yet brain-damaged - she goes to Hogwarts as his 'sister'.

 

I was just reminded of one of my biggest pet peeves in all fiction - pregnancies and newborn children. I don't know why I hate that. Maybe because most of times newborn children are game changers in the story and most of times it changes story for much worse than it was before? Maybe because they usually show up when authors don't have any better idea?

Whatever is the reason, once I see it, I must literally stop myself from closing fic/book etc. Not so long time ago I had this problem with The Heartlands of Time, but at this moment Joe is making it work within the story (may change later, though).

 

I hate vampires who are portrayed as overwhelmingly powerful.

 

When an author puts an A/N at the beginning of a chapter saying: "Warning, character death."
Seriously, that ruins the entire chapter.

 

Agreed, might as well tell you who dies so you can just skip that chapter.

I was expecting that...

 

How would they be a couple by third year? Despite my hatred of Hermione/Ron (Unless REALLY well done, because honestly I never believed in the 'you argue like an old married couple' reason for dating. They always argued like acquaintances, because best friends don't avoid each other for more than a day before saying 'fuck it lets hang out again'.) Ron spent most of year 3 being useless or yelling at Hermione about Scabbers. That's the worst part, and so is year 4 where (if they were dating) Ron goes and ditches Hermione's best friend because he's a jealous prat.

And I hate Ginny in almost every fic I've read. I liked her characterization a LOT in the small bit we've seen of Prince of A Dark Kingdom, but it's barely Ginny. Barely.

Having just hit this brand new stream of fics, I hate fics that have 'what the fuck' or 'whats this floating around in my rectum? An ending?" endings. They're not done well, and if everyone does that, then you shouldn't have ended it there anyways.

 

When people make a small change at the start of the books, like Harry's house. They make it seem like it will be a big change and then go and regurgitate the first three books, only changing the names of Harry's friends. Like swapping Hermione with Daphne. I don't see why anyone would write these stories, what's the point of them.

Also when Harry is super powerful and his "power" is off the scale. And the writers invent some kind of pointless test to show how Harry's magical core is twice the size of Dumbledore's and Voldemort's combined.
