Well Schro and Eternity Lost both went with the "He just made a mistake, leave him alone" approach. That's not a sure scum tell at all but it's what we've got at the minute.

Add in the fact that Sacrifice claims to have forgotten about the denarian roles. A newb may forget about a role. Not a faction though.

We could also just leave them to the Knights and use our lynch on another kind of scum, directing our attention to different reasonings.

Yeah, I was about to say what Stojil just said. We'll let the knights pick up on those clues. Moving on, does anyone have any ideas on who was the blackstaff's kill? I'm inclined to think it was jwlk...

Nice job by the Knights - it's always great to have one guaranteed scum elimination by Day 2.

And I agree that jwlk was probably the Blackstaff kill - he was a lurker who wasn't really doing anything. Unless the Red Court is going for random kills?

Also: I was tainted last night. Could the Knights purify me during the next night phase?

Yeah. This is good thinking. The minimum response to not seem like a lurker - defending a known Denarian - and then jumping on the bandwagon after it no longer matters to avoid real notice.

    Interesting.

Wow. I kind of feel like an idiot for defending Sacrifice right now, but I suppose I just assumed that since I would have made that mistake, someone else is that stupid as well.
    I'm not a denarian, though.

Uh. Also, Lara Raith had hot, sweaty intercourse with me, so with that in mind, a purification would be nice, thanks.

Nice job by the Knights. Also, I was tainted by Dracula last night, so I will also require purification.

At least one more few elimination compared to the average day/night of the last game(1 lynch, two NK's, and a successful scum-purification). Very good job to the Knights.

I agree with Jon's point against Eternity Lost, that's pretty scummish behavior in light of a confirmed Denarian.

Either he already knew and was trying to keep his faction safe, making it a piss-poor attempt to shake attention away and refocus it on Evan Tide, or he was trying to divide the votes and keep us from lynching altogether, which would only benefit him anyway.

Mine's the only one that kills you, though. I think.
Did I read the rules right?

It might be useful to purify those requesting it - but that would put the Knights behind on hitting more of the Denarians - which would in turn impact who we lynch.

Personally, I think we should lynch someone we think is a Denarian and allow the Knights to purify those who need it. That's just me though.

Well, three factions have the power to taint, so I think that's all of us.

I was tainted by the Denarians, the Whites got Schrodinger, and Dracula got you.

Actually, the more I think about it, the more I'm not so sure. People are going to need to be purified every night. I really don't know what the best use of the Purification power will be going forward.

Provided all three are still alive, the Knights can only do one purification on Night 2. The Denarian cleansing takes two Knights according to the description, and the Knights can only use their powers every other night.

Catching the Denarians is an iffy thing, purifying people is a sure shot.
Unless someone fake claims in order to waste a Knight's night? But that wouldn't help anyone but Denarians, and they definitely don't want Knight attention.

Good job in getting the denarian knights.

I am curious, when you purify someone do you actually find out if he/she was tainted in the first place? If not, some people might request purification just to keep you distracted, so watch out.

I don't have much right now, I will check back in later.

We have three death and one of them is a confirmed scum. Yay and stuff.

So the purification. Can we believe them? We can at least be sure none of them are Denarian or the Erkling since they will not come out if they have been tainted.

I was going to mention it but Castiel beat me to it; the claims of needing purification from taint could be an attempt by at least one Denarian to split the Knights' focus so that they can't actively hunt and purify the Denarians themselves. I would suggest that the Knights alternate between all three cleaning the taint from people one night, then attempting to purify a possible Denarian the next.

One other thought that has occurred to me is that Elaine Mallory's role really suffered from the day one vote list. If all the votes had been either for Evan Tide or abstains then she'd have the perfect control group to work from, but with the way the votes were split means she'll have a game of a time trying to work from that (there were 15 votes for Evan Tide, 4 for Sacrifice and 8 abstains). We should probably look at the four people who voted for Sacrifice as possibly being scum trying to hide from Elaine but wanting to avoid the stigma of being a lurker.

    Why wouldn't they?

It occurs to me that a few people have been saying this - scum would just not reveal their taint. I can see why they wouldn't as far as the Denarian taint goes, as it helps get rid of the Knights, but a) revealing themselves as tainted does make them seem more town-aligned due to the aforementioned idea of scum not revealing taints, and b) Dracula's taint helps the Black Court, which may not necessarily be a good thing for the other scum (I suppose that depends on their outlook) and Lara's taint kills scum too, so they'd want purification (unless they are the Red King or the Erlking, in which case they could ask for purification and seem less scummy).
