While that may be a valid explanation for why its happening, it does not change the fact that lots of people don't really like the idea of human!Kyuubi.

 

This was chapter was neither better nor worse than I expected. Expect shit, ladies and gentlemen, so when you get thrown a queef, you're kind of excited about it.

Bit confusing at the end the way they put the flashbacks and normal time scenes in one big page, expecially since I had to Ctrl + - like three times to see it properly.

I just want to see the Kyuubi fucking something up. Why wouldn't anyone look forward to this coming chapter?

You all mad that the Kyuubi has stopped being a raging dick? That he's actually being portrayed as a sentient creature and not a "bwahahah!evil" cutout? You angry that the hero whose consistently stood up to insane bullshit without wavering from his ideals had an actual, quantifiable effect on the Kyuubi after being with him for the better part of two decades?

What the fuck kind of story do you want this to be?

We learned a long ass time ago that the real reason that Minato sealed the Kyuubi into Naruto wasn't to stop the Kyuubi, but to stop Tobi. Kyuubi was never the final villain, not even close.

Stop bitching.

 

I want the kyuubi to be inhuman, not to be a this caricature.

All in all, I find the transition of the Kyuubi from tailed beast to whatever he is now to be poorly done, even if it fits in the overall theme of the story.

 

Eh, this wasn't as bad as I thought it would. I may have even liked it, just a tiny bit.

Besides, if I see Naruto fully transformed into the Nine-Tails, I will forgive Kishi for all the shit he's pulled up till now.

The Kyuubi was made by a Human. Suffice to say he'd have human characteristics. He has a human torso, for christ sakes.

 

The fist-bumping has gotten out of hand. Even if it is a bit too--modern for the universe that Naruto is set in, it fit in with Bee's character so it didn't feel out of place. Now we have Bee, Hachibi, Naruto, Yonbi, and Kyuubi all doing it. It feels dragged out and overused.

 

I actually enjoyed the chapter a little. I agree that the fist-bumping is out of character for anyone but Killer B, though.

Any ideas as to what Son Goku gave to Naruto?

 

A little of his chakra. I'm betting that Naruto will also get it from the rest of the Tailed Beast. That way we will have Jubi!Naruto (half of 9th and some of the rest) vs. Jubi!Tobi (all of 1st-7th and some of 8th and 9th) fight.

 

Assuming that Naruto did indeed receive chakra from Son Goku, I wonder if that might come into play later to restore Kyuubi/Kurama to his full self. Kurama is missing 50% of his chakra afterall, which mean he is significantly smaller and weaker then he should be.

Assuming that Naruto will physically transform next chapter, I wonder if we will get a comment from Tobi about this. Does Tobi know that Minato took all of Kuramas Yin chakra with him to the stomach Death God. Tobis reaction might be interesting, if he did not know yet. Whats he going to do once he finds out that 50% of the chakra he needs is lost pretty much permanently.

 

Permanently? Nonsense. Edo Tensei Slave #87 will be sacrificed to call up the Shinigami, and due to Deus Ex Machina T, Kabutomaru will just happen to have a way of extracting those that are held within its stomach- thus releasing the nine tails missing chakra back into the host, and proving once and for all that Kabuto was a good guy all along.

/sits back to wait and see how long before Kishi trolls us some more.

 

Was reading this chapter and got to the scene where there's like five tailed beasts sitting around Kakashi and Gai. Screwed or what? Anyway we all know at some point Naruto will have to fight those tailed beasts but who is Kyuubi's chakra/co-operation gonna help? Isn't he like at only fifty percent, so unless the tail beasts go by 9 = 2x8 = 4x7 = 8x6 and so on how is that gonna help at all?

 

I agree with fist bumping being overused and would like to add that it even comes off as cheesy. I disagree about it being too modern. Naruto is not set in the past. They have skyscrapers, computers, video cameras and processed goods. In genetic engineering they are even more advanced than us.

 

There's just something incredibly funny about the Kyuubi acting like a tsundere. I can't explain it.

Other than that the chapter was okay. I like the fistbumps for some reason (I think it's because it's so dumb), and the lock for the cage being a TTGL-style spiral wheel is just great.

 

I honestly enjoyed this chapter. THough I guess you could blame that on on all the horrendously sucky chapters for the past few months. Finally some progression!

 

What would be hilarious is if Kyuubi was just fucking with Naruto to get let out of its cage.

 

That would actually be a great concept... When Madara summoned the Kyuubi to battle Hashirama, it fucked with his mind, implanted the idea of the whole Moon plan thing so that he would act as its cats paw in recreating the Juubi. The Sharingan doesn't have as much power as we have assumed, it's just the Kyuubi acting towards a certain goal. So eventually we get, as someone suggested, half-Juubi Tobi and half-Juubi Naruto battling it out, at which point Kyuubi betrays Naruto, his tailed beast chakra runs out, and Tobi gets the rest of the chakra. He then reforms the Juubi, which promptly proceeds to rip his mind apart. Or that's the plan, anyway.
