What issues did Jon point out that I ignored? What issues did KaiDASH point out that I ignored?

Before the Jon issue, was their any one post that you would say that I was being inflammatory? I admit I got pissed after the Jon issue and started to hate the problems and care a whole lot less.

Before people act surprised, I had to replace three players because of Jon, talk to about three other people about Jon in general, and had bloody Vash asking me if I would end up closing the game because of the complaints he got. Then I still got shit.

 

No, shut the hell up about the Jon issue. That's another can of goddamn worms. We ain't touching that one. :\

When literally everyone was like "err, I don't think it'll be very easy for mafia to win". You were like "nah, it's balanced". Even when you were told specifically about the probabilities. I was there when you had a shouting match with Kai in #mafia.

And I sided with you. I thought Kai was being harsh. I wish I didn't.

Kind of like League of Legends and other MOBAs.

That is one thing I will disagree with. The problem the entire scum side had was a horrible Erlking/Black Court players, and even with that problem the game still is in a decent place. I've been keeping up the Excel datasheet and it will show the numbers. The ability to communicate completely changed the dynamics and the scum had a much stronger showing.

I am not saying it perfect, I would have to increase the power of the scum by possibly one member for myself to be happy with the thing, but saying it is horribly off is too much.

I haven't seen Jersey Shore. Is it luck or not for that to be the case?

I mean, I'm in that same boat. I'll do just about anything to win a game for my side, unless I'm playing for complete lulz like in Dresden 2.

Basically, when I'm competing, anything's fair game as long as it doesn't break the rules. Threat about QT? To me, that's a valid tactic. As long as nothing actually gets posted, then all's fair. Pressure tactics, especially extreme ones like that, can either work spectacularly well or blow up into crazy fireballs, like that one did.


Besides, Smile told me to impress him that game. I'm pretty sure that ended in a manner that he never even considered. :awesome

 

Smile. This... would have solved a very large amount of problems. :\

There's a difference between threats and actually happening.

And no, I'm not wondering at all why people want me out. I just don't care, since to me, it was a perfectly valid tactic to try and force Loch's hand.

But then everyone jumped the gun and fucked it up.

 

I'll never understand why people rage about that. Yeah, so a guy posts up what he believes everyone is. Who the hell cares? Take the info into account and play on.

Is it really THAT big of a deal that people share their suspicions in a simple list?

 

Honestly, right away, anyone who bitches about a list like that is pretty much 100% scum.

Aim of the game, for town, is to locate and lynch scum ASAP. The only ones who would really be in an uproar against it and can't back themselves up with proof are scum players or first-day deaths.

I don't understand how town people would even consider complaining unless it's because the list makes them feel dumb for not jumping on the right conclusions when the time for reveals come.

 

What did they complain about, exactly? Did they think you cheated?

 

I know the accuracy of the list, I have access to the QT. But what about your skill/lack of skill in guessing peoples roles made them complain? Irene never got complaints because she guessed roles... So did the players in this game think you were cheating? Or they were just mad because you made a list of scum (that may or may not be correct).

I haven't been keeping up, i'm not really in the loop.

 

Both, apparently. Zenzao and Azira were being huge pains in the ass to Jon about him voting and rescinding in the same post while under duchess auction.

Since it was the SAME POST, imo, he shouldn't have gotten killed for it, but people bitched left and right until he got mod killed.

Then they complained about list because they were pretty much being asshats, saying it ruined the game and so on. Everything just soured up after that.

That's how I read it, anyways.

And no one bitched at Irene because she didn't post a list while under some stupid scrutiny about not being able to vote but never really voting in the first place sort of thing. It was also the first time anyone actually got like 95% of the people in the list right, resulting in the first fail game so no one really had precedence for the behavior.


Honestly, if the old duchess power was kept, it'd work out better. No BS like that could occur since even 1 post = killed.
