So, for some reason the other team's veigar decided to just feed us and warn us of ganks for the first 15 minutes of the game. Now I have no idea why he did this other than to piss off his team but it worked, our Ahri at mid was almost 8 kills by the 10 minute mark solely from Veigar. Now this is the odd thing, just as we are getting to their base, down to the last line of turrets before inhibs when all of a sudden veigar stops feeding. Somehow, with no kills and no items he actually starts killing people on our team. I don't just mean one or two, he broke three pushes in 5 minutes and racked up 10 kills. This then caused the game to somehow go on for another half hour with veigar miraculously carrying their team and dodging everything we threw at him, still with no items.

In the end we still won, the score was 57 to 52, veigar had half their kills.... WTF??

 

Veigar doesn't need items to win. He just needs your AP champion being stupid enough to walk in range.

 

I wonder how much AP he has farmed off of his Q and Champion kills alone...

 

Veigar has an AoE stun with a decent range, an infinitely scaling Q that gives AP for every unit he kills with it and an ultimate that does damage based on the target's AP. I can easily see him wrecking without items. The only things stopping him from being as terrifying as Nasus are his mana issues and the fact that he'll be fatally wounded by a stern glare.

 

This. Also, according to two games I played today, I am a walking reason why Viktor is OP. Just because I happen to be good with his skillshot and actually know his combo (R-W-E-Q for those interested). Whatever, I personally think he needs a buff. His spells cost too much, even with runes that increase my mana regen. I shouldn't walk away from a team fight with less than 100 mana, unless I decided to run back in and kill steal.

 

From level 1 to level 18.

Seriously, he's by far one of the best people to lane against, as nearly any champion. If played competently he can be a terror, but he's seriously fucked in laning.

 

The people who have never played Veigar have no clue what a "bad lane" is.

Lux is awesome. I literally didn't die until I had 19 kills. And then only because the game glitched and mis-pathed me when I was trying to run away. Then I died cause I got too cocky and went after a fiddle who baited me into a gank.

Anyone who tries to say that Lux should main support role needs to be slapped. Her AP ratios are ridiculous when added to the rest of her kit. She's got range out the wazoo, and her ult is on a stupidly low cooldown with just a few items. 1k+ dmg every 24 seconds by endgame if I get completely built.

Everyone says that Morgana is the queen of AP Mid, but I spent the entire last week walking all over Morgs unless they were really good. And even then I generally came out on top.

She's exactly the kind of champion I like. Every. Single. Ability. Is a skillshot. If you don't have skill and can't land your shit, she's absolutely useless/worthless.. but played right her high power-ceiling means you can abso-fucking-lutely destroy.

Lux = Sleeper OP.

With her passive and a lich bane her burst with just one spell + one auto attack is nasty. Make it a combo like Q + AA + W + AA? They're most likely dead. And if they're not your ult should finish just about anyone except MR-Built champs at that point.

Edit: Ignore the silly boasting at the end, my team and I were being stupid in chat all game long once it was obvious it was going to be a rout.

Actually, the game didn't glitch. Pathing in League just really, really, really sucks. If you don't right click about twenty feet ahead of your champ every few seconds, chances are they're going to take a stupidly long path, or they're going to sprint across the river and middle lane.

People have been complaining about the game's pathing since day one, so instead of releasing a patch that basically only affected one champion (Sup, Jax? He's now a bigger bullshit character than ever!), why not actually sit down and fix the pathing?

 

So how do you people deal with the insane amount of idiots in solo queue? Typically I end up trying to carry a bunch of morons whose first impulse is to either try and grab baron buff while the entire enemy team is up, or run towards the first champion they see.

TL;DR how do you deal with idiots and solo queue in general.

I just kinda roll with it, but when I'm tired of solo queue I stop playing it, and move onto premades. Yeah, sure, sometimes things go wrong. But I don't get the mind-raping levels of anger because generally when things go wrong it's simply because we've been out-played and NOT because my team is comprised solely of feeders and morons.

 

To be fair though, it's really easy to outplay a team comprised solely of feeders and morons. Which is what a lot of solo queue games seem to be.

 

Set up a game on DLP IRC with a full team of level 30's, proceed to get raped repeatedly by high Elo , get bitched out on vent, still have fun times.

Solo queue you can just hope to god the other team sucks more and that they'll forfeit at 20. I played a few games as tank/support for my friend who went AD carry on bot, and one where he raped mid as Leblanc while I had awesome support from Sona. They mostly went well. Turns out I'm still pretty shit with positioning.

Go support, pick some generic masteries, hope the carry isn't completely retarded and get wards to prevent ganks/ enable counter-ganks. If the team is completely unfamiliar with the concept of last hitting, apply palm to face and hope for better games in the future.

 

My problem is that my friends that play LoL tend to play at night since they don't have class in the morning whereas I'm still in high school. Anyway is there a noticeable skill gap between ranked and normal games? Are people a lot better about last hitting, coordinating early game ganks, and the works? I'm talking about 1200-1400 elo games by the way, since that's where the game tends to drop you off at (at least that's what I've heard).

 

I just got done playing my first game of ranked and the only palpable difference was the ability the enemy team got to last hit. That's it. And it's dick all for the difference it made for the enemy's Ahri. People are still idiots and your teammates still fuck you over. That said I won.

 

Well, I finally hit 30 last night! Time for ranked! Just kidding, I need a lot more practice before doing ranked but I've been getting a lot better in the last few weeks. I was wondering what people's thoughts on Ziggs were. He looks pretty decent. I might get him but I don't really play that many AP champs. They have been releasing a lot of AP ones lately, I wonder when they are going to release another AD one.
