Lawl because of pure bad luck , nearly every time without fail I'd be going somewhere else and since you think pretty much the same way I do about the matches you go there too purely by coincidence and I'd run smack into your chest with nowhere to hide. On the times when I caught you while you were distracted I practically insta-gibbed you and everyone around you.

True, but only after I committed genocide on your team around you as well, lol. When we run into each other on opposite teams, and you're not playing spy on that server, we tend to leave a lot of gibbed parts.

 

Very true, those were damned pretty runs. They got mad as fuck though xD.

 

I like it when the whole other team goes spy just so they can hide from us though.

Played with ChaosGuy today - he and some random kept raping me, then he switched over near the end and we raped the random. lol.

Lawl it was thing of beauty xD. You got the impression sometimes that they had just all packed their shit up and left until four people have new blades in in their backs.

 

Man, I am getting even more addicted to this game. Played for a few hours today with Krogan, and holy shit, you weren't kidding about the noobness. I was sniping on the roof and this demoman came to kill me 10 times IN A ROW. And every time I killed him with the Sword that Sniper has (I forget its name) in one blow. And this was the guy with the second highest score. :facepalm

 

Yeah that was fun as hell . I have no idea how I did so well at Sniper today though, I'm usually unholy awful at it but Castiel and I were doing so well at it today that more or less their entire team switched to scout and spys to try and take us out. They got us eventually but before they did I ended up with a lovely stack of Spy corpses piled in the doorway of the Harvest map sniper nest.

 

Argh, Sniping in this game is D8.

Basically, I make a shit load of amazing shots that don't kill anyone.

Well, actually, when I hit scouts and engineers in midair, it kills them and is lulzy, but... honestly :\

 

If you mean they hit but the target doesn't die, then you have to wait for the gun to charge (or something). That is, when you zoom in, wait for a while and then shoot.

Also, headshots = more damage.

A fully charged headshot gives me 500+. Today I even shot a guy through another guy. :awesome I did not even know it was possible in TF2.

You probably know this but just telling you in case you don't.

EDIT: And... ninja'ed. Yes, I usually snipe Heavies, Soldier and other snipers. Although killing Scouts in mid-air is too much fun.

The best part is when a Medic-Heavy combo walks into the fight, and you kill the heavy in one shot and the medic is like "OH FUCK-" and BAM someone(usually me again) kills him.

 

Yeah, I do, but it's also my main complaint. I'm one of the best snipers in my FPS clan in another game and it sort of irks me. XD

Don't worry about it, I used to kick ass with Magnum is CS 1.6, but when I started sniper in TF2 I got my ass handed to me several times. Just play some more and you will get used to it.

 

Because your gun has to charge while your zoomed in, if you just quick scope shoot, you might as well be throwing rocks at them. Once you get a full charge you can kill pretty much anything in one shot.

Also Oz is right, since your not comfortable with the sniping you should only stick to Heavies and Medics and not waste the ammo on a Scout. Unless he completely stops moving its just a waste of a bullet.

Also make damn sure to keep an eye on possible Sniper locations in a map, for the most part everyone goes to the same spots so if your Including enemy Snipers and if you dont watch them they will headshot you easy. You need to have damn good reflexes to move when you see them looking at you and when ever you get an open shot go out to try and hit them. Whoever is faster is going to win

Fuck the huntsman. I've never had any luck with that thing. That being said...

It's how tunnel visioned the scope is. You can't see shit, and the characters all move so fast it's way harder then normal to get shots off. Combined with you never really get a nice long sightline. I'm a fairly awesome sniper in most games, but TF2 it just pisses me off too much to bother with it 99% of the time.

 

Sniping in Tf2 is so easy.... Oh wait, are you guys using rifles that don't kill almost everything in a fully charged body shot? That's silly.
