Well, what we did finish was fun, so let it be one of the first things we make on the new server.

It's a vanilla server at the moment, but we're hoping to have the no-creeper-damage-to-blocks plugin for Bukkit soon. Creepers are so OP.

Anyway, here's an update of what I've been doing on the server. If you were on one of the older servers, you'd remember the Canyon village we were trying (and failing) to make.

This is attempt numero dos.

I finished up the immediate entrance area, with a concealed piston door and everything :>


To the left: A hovel that serves as mine and Ollie's (and Castiel's) base of operations. A dirt-made lighthouse on top of the hill to light the way.
To the right: You can see the entrance- it's the mound of snow-covered grass!

In short, we've now got an epic piston powered door.

I mean this looks cool enough in Default but that's just boss.

Oh and the res of you get your asses on the server! I've been strip mining and farming enough to set anyone up with 32 loaves of bread (64 for girls) and a full set of iron armor/tools.

 

I tried a few texturepacks today (also notice my superior canyon).

 

Went full potions master and built myself a dungeon to brew in. And stocked it with ingredients. If you happen to be missing nether wart then my bad, but we've got a farm for it going now.

2 stacks of wheat are worth one diamond

Melons slices are worth twice as much as wheat

One egg is worth 4 wheat

One steak is worth 8 wheat

One iron ingot is worth 8 wheat

One cake is worth 8 wheat

One diamond is worth 16 ingots of iron

One block of obsidian is worth 32 wheat

One redstone dust, one log, one dye are all worth 4 wheat

Our group offers one stack of wheat for any sheep, and two for any cow you folks will sell to us.


We respectfully request you don’t convert any melon slices we sell to you into actual melon seeds. We purchased the only melon seeds on the server (that we could find out about) for a high price, and are willing to pay exorbitantly in anything non limited to you in exchange for found seeds, or one diamond per seed. Please come to Oliver_Kingston or Vandis_Mead with any seeds you find. Extortion is very unappreciated guys

These are just proposed rates. The mission of Mead & Kingston is to keep everyone well fed, and to get diamonds for ourselves. If you grief our shit, we’ll murder your family :awesome .

I just wrote these up because we’ve been working hard to develop high yield farms, and we’re trying to bring in some profit and gear for ourselves and the canyon community.

Approximately 50% of all gains other than eggs and diamonds go to the canyon community. 25% of all diamonds and eggs go to the canyon. Once we have enough gear, we’ll also start selling more coveted items such as diamonds, nether supplies (looking at you jon), and services we’ll do our damnedest to find you dungeons so you can grind for yourself
