Okay, so Vesvius was killed by the Jon.
    Hermonies attacked Jangel, then.

Also, Lungs, does Bullet Punch count as 'protection piercing'? I don't think it would, but perhaps the Vira used it to kill Vesvius? Unlikely, but it's worth asking.

Other than that, Ollie screwed us. :|
Of all the fucking days to be like LOL LYNCH ME, he chose the day we had a concrete plan. Best scum player: Gambit.

Anyway, Castiel has +1 life now. We can do something like:

    1. Incarcerate Castiel/Republic
    2. The Moridin tries to kill Castiel, removing his extra life.
    3. We asylum kill both of them tomorrow.

Or we could lynch Castiel today, removing his life, then incarcerate him, asylum killing him tomorrow.

Same thing, except I think it'd be better to lynch someone else.

    Why?

    1. Ollie was innocent.
    2. This means either Smile was scum or the Fenraellis is dead. I think I lean towards the Fenraellis being dead.
    3. If we lynch someone who can be either scum or innocent, we may find a Hermonie or we may end up with a Fen kill tonight. Otherwise, we can be assured that he is dead.

Also, no KaiBOTs died with Snowflake. Interesting.

I think that is all I have to say for the moment.

I'm glad I wasn't Asylum'd. As I said, there are no Vanilla Townies, so I was busy.

It's such a headache that we don't know the roles of the dead people. I don't understand though, couldn't the Fen have killed Vesvius? Two Days had already passed, and we don't know if our lynches were succesful. Could have been either him or the Jon, the way I see it.

I was halfway through a vote for Jangel, in which I pointed out that no Town roles can survive an NK any more, and then I remembered that the Mishie had died. When I herp, I derp.

I don't think the Fenraellis kill is protection piercing. I just disregarded that. Lungs, clarification on that and my previous question?

If we committed Castiel to the asylum and used the asylum kill, would it take away the +1 life, if the SmileOfTheKill still lives? I don't think so. The wording is that the Vesvius has protection, presumably this means more than they can't die: it means that kill actions won't work on them.

If the Smile is dead, however, the best thing to do would be to lynch then asylum kill Castiel, removing him immediately.

But if the Smile lives, both of those things will fail and it will have been a waste of both.

I think we need to get rid of Castiel pretty sharpish.

I lean towards the lynch + asylum kill option. At least that way we'll know for sure. If we just lynch or just asylum kill, we won't know whether or not we were successful in removing Castiel's +1. That could be a lethal quantity of uncertainty, as we won't know if/when we should follow up with a second lynch/asylum kill.

Though I suppose the Irene could simply incarcerate Castiel every night from now on, and we could vote to kill him every day from now on, until he died. I would be okay with that.

In other news, I would seriously lol if it turns out that Jangel is actually the Jon and we're now screwed over by Ollie even more than we already were.

I assume that the Moridin killing him removes his +1 life. He still has his Smile protection. This means that we have to either asylum kill the Smile or lynch him. My best guess on the Smile is Republic, but the Smile could have been Vesvius or someone being lowkey.

You are using asylum kill wrong here, I think. I am referring to the Moridin kill, which is at night, then there is the asylum kill, which is during the day.

In any case, I now think that our best bet is this:

    1. Lynch Republic. Hope he or Vesvius was the Smile. We lynch Republic instead of incarcerating him because that way he is dead prior to the asylum kill.

    2. The Moridin attempts to kill Castiel. It won't work no matter what, but it gets rid of his one layer of protection

    3. We asylum kill Castiel the next day. If it works, Republic or Vesvius was the Smile. If it doesn't, we have to continue searching for the Smile.

Now, do you guys agree with that plan?
I really think that Republic is the Smile, but like I said, it could be someone being much more lurker-y.

The brilliance of Ollie, my word. -_-

I had been a bit suspicious of Vesvius, especially due to his (her?) actions yesterday, so we'll see if there's any difference in night actions from here on.

Best option is probably to asylum + votekill Castiel indefinitly; if the Moridin is still alive, kill to remove protection to speed it up, but neutralized in asylum so it doesn't really matter. Since the Smile has to die, as well, that effectively role-reveals the Smile on death.

Vesvius's death was either the Fen or the Jon, since the Vesvius can only kill during the day, and those are the only 3 protection-piercing kills (correct?).

Aekiel can't commit anyone tonight, and we didn't keep anyone in last night, so it might be worth a lynch today. Only chance at a commit tonight are the Irene, and odds are rising that she's dead.

Republic is still my top suspicion, for scum, so I'd support lynching him.

In fact, since the Irene will have to commit Castiel tonight if we go that way, we'll have no free lynches tonight; def. lynch, then.

I'm not convinced that the Moridin's kill action will get rid of the Vesvius' +1, if the Smile still lives.

We could use it instead of a lynch, combining it with the asylum vote to kill the next day, stacking up two kills on Castiel, and thus killing him if the Smile is dead.

The problem with that is that if it fails, we won't know if it was because the Smile is alive or because the Moridin is dead.

For that reason I still support either the lynch+asylum kill or the repetitive incarceration+asylum kill options.

I didn't realize that Aekiel now can't commit anyone tonight.

As for the Fen, Lungs hasn't clarified if it is protection piercing or not.

I think lynching Republic is our best bet, so I am going to throw my vote in now.

    Deadline lynch vote: Republic21

---------- Post automerged at 06:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:17 PM ----------

I don't know what you are on about.

Why would the Smile have anything to do with the Vesvius' +1 life. I would think that is entirely separate from his Smile protection. Also, we WOULD know if it was because the Moridin is alive.

No matter what, if the Moridin tries to kill Castiel, it will show up. If he doesn't try, he is dead.

In that case, we would simply asylum kill him two days in a row.

I really hope that is not the case, however.

Our biggest worry is 1. killing the Smile and 2. Castiel modkilling someone else, earning another life.

---------- Post automerged at 06:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:22 PM ----------

*if it was because the Moridin was dead, as there would be no attempt at all.

    So.

    SO.

It occurs to me that the Hermonies will have known that whoever they targeted for their night kill would survive. We all knew, at the end of the day, that Ollie was the mishie, because of what happened at the end of the day.

So why bother with a night kill action, if they knew it wouldn't work? Perhaps just because they didn't want to just sit idle, and because people like using their powers.

Or perhaps to target one of their own, to make him look more innocent.

I think Jangel is a Hermonie. The targeting of him for a NK on a night where he would certainly survive is odd. He has also been a dominant player throughout the game, but no one has ever thought him suspicious. Too careful, perhaps?

Further, this determination to see Republic21 lynched is very odd. I admit, I considered Republic21 suspicious several days ago. But the causes of that suspicion are incredibly trivial compared with some of the information that has since been revealed, including the identity of the Vesvius. And yet he still is determined to lynch Republic21, on the basis of not much at all.

    FURTHER

There is another player whose posts have agreed with Jangel a fair amount. Another player who joins with him now, and over the past few days, in calling for Republic21 to be lynched with some determination. That player is Ashaya.

I believe Ashaya to be a Hermonie with Jangel.

    MY SUGGESTION:

We lynch one of Ashaya or Jangel today.

The Irene incarcerates Castiel. The Moridin, if he lives, performs a kill action on him. We vote tomorrow in the asylum vote to kill Castiel when he survives the Moridin's kill. If the Moridin lives and the Smile is dead, that should kill the Vesvius.

However, because of the uncertainty involved with the Moridin's continued existence, should Castiel survive we should also lynch him the next day. If the Moridin is dead and the Smile is dead, that should kill Castiel. If he survives that, then the Smile is still alive and we can't touch Castiel for a while.

Meanwhile, the Irene or Aekiel incarcerates whichever of Jangel/Ashaya we didn't lynch. We can then kill them with either the Moridin kill or the asylum vote.

---------- Post automerged at 11:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:32 PM ----------

I don't think so. The Smile gives the Vesvius protection from night kills. The Moridin's kill is a night kill. Vesvius, if the Smile lives, is thus protected from the Moridin's night kill. Therefore, if the Smile is alive, the Moridin kill will not affect the Vesvius, and he won't lose his extra life.

Point taken about the Moridin's kill being publically announced, though. Forgot about that. That makes things easier. Less uncertainty means we can get stuff done sooner.

What? Plenty of people thought he was suspicious. Even I have been saying I thought so. Albeit, less suspicious than people like Republic, but I definitely still think he is suspicious.

That could very well have been their plan. I would like it said, however, that they could have known we'd realize this, and try to frame someone who is already considered suspicious. Just a thought.

Again, what? I am convinced that Republic is the Smile. OF COURSE I am going to focus on him. I outlined my plan to rid ourselves of the Vesvius, so now we focus on finding the Smile. That is number one priority, IMO.

Actually, I'd say that he agrees with me, but whatever. In any case, OF COURSE I am determined to have Republic lynched. I think he is the Smile, and he is the best lead we have. Not sure how that connects us, but ok.

Except for the fact that the ONLY person who could have been the Smile is Vesvius. That is an awfully big risk, and we would have wasted valuable time needed to kill the Smile.

    Now THIS is stupid.
The Moridin's continued existence has nothing to do with that. If the Moridin is alive, there WILL be an attempt on Castiel's life, removing his +1 life. If he is dead, there will be no attempt. So, scenario 1, Moridin tries to kill him, then we asylum kill. It works, the Smile is dead, woo. It doesn't work, the Smile is alive, you propose we lynch Castiel KNOWING he will survive? -_-

Scenario 2, Moridin is dead. No attempt. We asylum kill Castiel, then he is incarcerated again, then we asylum kill him again. He survives, Smile is alive. He dies, woo.

All that lynching him does is prolong the time we waste trying to kill him. Let the asylum deal with him, and leave the lynching to potential Smiles.

Why asylum kill us, rather than lynch us? I would feel a lot safer with Castiel in the asylum where he can't use his Modkill power.

Still, think you are grasping at straws in connecting us.

As I said before, I think Republic is our best lead on the Smile, and if he IS, it'll end the Castiel debacle earlier, leaving us to deal with the Hermonies.

---------- Post automerged at 06:52 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:52 PM ----------

Also, I am still waiting for Lungs to get back to me with clarification about a few things. Rather than argue about our own interpretation of the rules, I'll just get the answer from him.
