The translation is terribad. I miss Manga Stream. :(

It looks like Itachi has given up on Sasuke, or at least he thinks Naruto is the only one who'll be able to get through to him. In any case, I doubt Sasuke will stop following Itachi, so there might be a Sasuke & Itachi vs. Kabuto fight, or something along those lines.

I'm hoping Tsunade will reveal one or two more combat abilities when she fights Madara.

My god this shit translation. Hashirama could heal his wounds without seals? That's not just hax, that's super hax right there.

Made the mistake of reading the OP chapter first >_>

Well, I really don't care about Hashirama anymore, not since his corpse/body was looted by every major villain of Naruto at some point or another. So, I don't really care how much of a mancrush Madara had on that guy, or how super-powerful he was, he is still not that interesting.

I don't really get the need for making him stronger with every time they mention him.

Really, in a world where bloodlinelimit theft has been around for ages, people should start burning the bodies.

Other than that, Itachi remains being a dumb prick. No matter how big of a badass he is in a fight, he just seems dumb now. Dude, you ensured that your brothers live would do nothing but suck, talk seriously with him for five minutes.

Patronizing Itachi is lulz. I cracked up every time he said he had important things to do that had nothing to do with Sasuke. Dumb prick? Not gonna dispute that. About time he realized that his whole plan with Sasuke was stupid as hell.

Hax!Hashirama is pointless. He's dead and Madara has his abilities. Kishi is wasting perfectly good panels talking about a guy who doesn't mean shit right now. And I really hope Madara kills Tsunade. Aside from being an annoying bitch, I can see no better way at this point for someone to make Naruto to go on a rampage.

    Good points.

I'm pretty sure at this point that Itachi literally can not stop. He mind-controlled himself into going after Kabuto and the Edo Tensei.

And I agree that building up Hashirama so much is pointless. Whatever happened to putting your faith in the next generation and all that nonsense when nobody will ever be on his level? And furthermore, how the fuck did he die so young that his brother took over before he was even middle-aged?

The only answer that makes sense to me is that Tobi was going around ganking people long before his shenanigans in Kiri and Konoha. But even then that wouldn't make much sense since Minato ruined him like a boss.

Meh, it's easy to say a dead guy is super when it suits the plot right now, but in the grand scheme of things I don't think it makes any fucking sense.

He probably sacrificed himself to save his subordinates and friends/Konoha or something like that. That or some weird sickness that his healing powers couldn't cure.

So I'm thinking Yamato going to be used as a some type of sacrifice bring that Hashirama clone to life.

I used to like to think that Madara poisoned him with something that weakened his heart, so he died in his sleep of a heart arrest or something. :sherlock:

The Night of a Thousand Orgies proved that even a physical god like Hashirama could run out of stamina and succumb to mortality eventually. :sherlock:

Pfft as if Hashirama's wood techniques couldn't handle that.

^I see what you did there...

And I was always kind of a fan of Howdy's Unforgiven, what with Hanzo killing Hashirama for a country. Seemed appropriately epic.

I never quite liked that angle. It always seemed to me that Hanzo carved Rain Country out of the flood plains, basically the place where refugees fled to, where there were still standing cities of the old days. The man forged an empire out of nothing but memories of the old and the torchbearers of the new and held it together through decades of war by sheer will and strength.

Having it handed to him by the Tsuchikage just seemed ... mediocre.

At this point it's going to take Sasuke and Naruto working together to beat Madara. Or Itachi finds Kabuto and makes him into a nice pair of boots ending the justu. Unless that doesn't end the Justu which I'm back to thinking it will take Naruto, the current embodiment of the will of fire, and Sasuke, the last Uchiha, working together to bring down Madara, who is part Uchiha and part Senju.

Personally I prefer the Itachi makes snake face into a nice pair of boots theory.

...well when you phrase it like that not much else can compare. You read that somewhere or will I be expecting this in ADW?

ADW background. May or may not come up in the sequel offhandedly.

Seriously Inert, I must have dozens of pages upon pages in Word Document files rewriting the world.

    ...

If only I could get back into it.

Minato, Saurotbi, and Jiraiya will always be the top dogs in my eyes. Throw in A too...

No clan or bloodline limit to back them up. Just pure skill and hard work.

As I understand it, Hiruzen was a member of the Sarutobi clan, so he had that to back him up. A is probably also a member of a clan, and certainly appears to have inherited some of his father's natural durability and the extreme Raiton affinity. Not quite a kekkei genkai, but those are certainly some strong genetic traits.

Anyway, I rather like bloodline limits. If a clan developed powerful abilities by actively steering their familial evolution through controlled selection in breeding over many generations, then they've earned their innate advantages by virtue of long-term planning and discipline. Developing strong biological traits can't be easy, especially considering the huge number of generations required to carry on the artificial selection without interruption.

Although it's never been explained how kekkei genkai were created, I like to think they were the result of controlled breeding, aimed at enhancing specific qualities. At least for the most part - some kekkei genkai are probably too arcane for that (i.e. Mangekyou Sharingan, Rinnegan, etc.).

Easy: Senju/Uchiha ancestor+Other Village ancestor=inheritance of the Jyuubi's/Sot6p's genetic matter.

From there its all about time to let that genetic matter graft itself into the natural energies and what have you of the eventual Clan, and within two to ten generations you've got enough unique, blended DNA to spur out a kekkei genkai.

    :awesome

The Hashirama hype lately has led me to reconsider just how formidable Sarutobi must have been in his prime to have taken on both the First and the Second in his dotage.Even more incredibly,he expected to win!How crazy is that?

Even scarier,I remember(can't find the quote) him stating MINATO was the strongest Konoha shinobi ever. And Sarutobi was one of only two characters(Danzo was the second) we are shown who was in a position to tell.So how did Minato do it with no bloodline,no clan traditions or techniques? To make things even better, while Hashirama lived long enough to both found Konoha and have kids/grandkids,Minato died young, before hitting his prime.
What would a forty year old Minato have been like?*shivers*
