Something that occured to me from the Blackstaff thread, we know Toot is gaining in power because of Dresden, but the humorous nature if Toot makes me feel like he didn't plan it that way, he simply wants pizza.

What if he did plan it? As Toot grows in power, he acquires additional intelligence or cunning, and doesn't Toot use the Little Folk for recon? It wouldn't be that hard for him to manipulate that situation for his benefit if he was smart enough. That would give him major rep too, knocking off a competior with Dresden as a tool.

 

Likely it works both ways. At first he did it for the pizza, then as he gained intelligence he started using the 'Za Lord's Guard as his own personal army.

 

Don't you know that contrary to its title DF is not really about Dresden, but about Toot-toot and his rise to power? By the time of the Big Apocalyptic Trilogy he will be around Erlking's level.

You know, I've been thinking for a while now that the reason Harry is so desired in supernatural circles is because most of them have a means of divining the future (whether it be through spirits that exist in more than one point in time, or Intellectus, or just plain foresight), and see that Harry will play a major role in the coming catastrophe.

 

My guess is that he burns down Marcone's house, the guy is a free-holding Lord.

A Dresden Files crossover with Evil Dead is long overdue. The elements from the necronomicon could be tied in nicely with the dresdenverse. Plus, the interactions between Harry and Ash alone would be fun to read.

 

The necronomicon is real in the Dresdenverse. It was published by the White Council so that all the rituals contained in it would be diluted by the hundreds/thousands of people using it at the same time.

Well, it could be the deluxe edition - bound in human skin and written in blood with special rituals never published before. All this for a small price of ones soul. If you ask me, it's a real bargain for all would be warlocks dreaming about bringing the world to its knees.

They're supposedly real characters in the universe if I remember correctly, and it might be a fresh direction for fanfiction rather than continually drawing on Harry Dresden and his life of doom and insanity.
