That would be quite a twist, but I hate 'depowering characters' twists, so I hope it will never happen to anyone in this arc.

Also, I do hope that since it's the last arc we will finally see the Bankai of every character to have one. Not to mention Yoruichi's Shikai.

 

Yes but the methods are different, Wonderweiss actually sealed away Yamamoto's sword (which I cannot remember the name of) and left him with all his other skill sets such as hakuda and kido. We have yet to see a way in which a Quincy could possibly use his own power against himself unless there is something radically different about these Quincies that gives them the ability to say, steal spiritual energy from their target.

My main thought is that this is still the god damn captain commander who took on Aizen (before the Hogyoko started to really transform him) and Wonderweiss at the same time without his sword and pushed them both back without really trying.

 

I hope that we'll get at least one fight where Ichigo owns someone because of his experience in fighting, that point has never been made and I think now is the chance to bring it out.

Quick question, can Ichigo be considered to be above or the same as captains in power/strength

 

He did that against muddy boot fullbringer chick. One of the only bits of that arc that entertained me.

 

Considering at one point he would basically be considered a god in human form, ya I would say his power is above that of a captains. Although that was before he lost his powers and this arc started so who knows where he stands.

I think he talked maybe once before last chapter. Still, the new villains seem lackluster.

Well, considering that before even these kind of characters survived no matter what, I think it counts. But we will see if he was a solo sacrifice to make final villains look more dangerous or is it a start of a real massacre that Kubo is planning for his grand finale.

Was it officially confirmed? Because I saw other people saying that while it's true that its time-slot is taken by Naruto's spin-off (about Rock Lee), nobody involved with it says anything about cancellation, suggesting it's just moving to different day/hour.
