I just stopped playing the game for a bit, I was beyond pissed that they got rid of most of the fuel depots, and having to watch that goddamned mass relay movie everytime you switched systems, that you can't disable or it freezes the game =/ I know I can scan for fuel depot/wreckage, but seriously what the hell kind of mechanic is that?? Going for a trainer to get rid of the damned fuel system entirely, it's as shitty as the probe system was in ME2

Edit: And the goddamned way too loud Reaper notification you get when you scan and they detect you.. jesus christ

Yeah, it's pretty shitty, but if you're smart with your scanning and you're willing to spend some time playing tag with the Reapers, you'll never have to actually buy fuel. And if you never do any scanning, you won't have to worry about it either since your fuel gets topped off after every major mission.

The relay clip doesn't bother me that much. It's only a couple seconds, and at least on my second playthrough, I haven't had to transfer between systems enough for it to get on my nerves.

The main effect of saving the Council or not is on War Assets. If you save the Council, you will be awarded the Destiny Ascension asset, which combined with the extra assets you get for saving the original Salarian Councilor (over the new Salarian Councilor in Priority: Citadel), make it actually worth it to save the Council. Otherwise, the gains from saving the Alliance fleet is more worth it. Overall, the difference is something miniscule, like 30 total war assets, give or take.

It's actually not as big of an impact as you think.

I believe the main checks for that decision are:

Tali and Legion must both be alive and loyal.
    Tali must not be exiled
    Admiral Quib-Quib alive
    Completing Rannoch: Fighter Squadrons
Shepard must have 4 bars of reputation
Decision to rewrite the Heretics or to destroy them

I'll double check this later, since I do have a save in which Maelon's data was saved but Wrex is dead.

    Proposal for Canon:

Conflict 1) Shepard destroys synthetic life, and in turn, a great deal of
his own physiology. The party must search the remnants of the Sol System to
unearth technology that may be able to restore Shepard's memory and functioning.

Conflict 2) The Grand Sol War begins. The current inhabitants of the Sol
System--which include the former occupants of the Citadel, the participants of
the Battle for Earth, and the Crucible's escorts--war over dwindling resources
in the Sol System. Certain species, unable to survive in Sol, make a desperate
    beeline for distant systems.

Conflict 3) Though resurrected, the character Shepard has ceased to be. The
Catalyst has transmigrated into him via his synthetic components, and he has become
    "Advent".

Consideration: Player to be aware of Conflict 3 until Mass Shift, or cliffhanger
    for Terminator?

    Consideration: Possible backlash?

Consideration: Dx does not want to drag out the character Shepard.

Approved: Player will be unaware of existence of Advent until Mass Shift. Make
    foreshadowing available.

Approved: Protagonist of Mass Shift is the next transmigration of the Catalyst.

Conflict 4) Advent seeks to halt advancement of synthetics across the galaxy.
The character experiences a "dissociative identity disorder" related to
integration with Shepard's and EDI's synthetics

Consideration: New galaxy, multiple galaxies. Dx NOTE: Too far ahead

Proposal for "Terminator" (DATE OF RELEASE: April 24):

    CC1 - CC3 (Dx approve 3-17-2012)

Canonical statement: Refer to "Arrival", "Witch Hunt", "Dragon Age: Return"

    Branch End Graph (Ping storyboards)

See ME3 branch templates for global event assumptions

Liara - Reconstruction of Thessia. Introduction of Prothean truths. Formal burial
    of mother at family gravesite.
    BRANCH - Marriage

James - N7 induction ceremony. Consideration: Couple with formal Kaidan/Ashley
    Spectre induction.
BRANCH - Ask Dx about this

Garrus - Takes Hackett's place at helm of GSW. Foreshadowing of human turian
    integration.
    BRANCH - Marriage

Tali - Seeks reestablishment of the mass effect.
    BRANCH - Marriage

Kaidan/Ashley - Consideration: Introduction of eventual suicide plot
device? DX Note: No, not in DLC, save for Shift
    BRANCH - Ask Dx

EDI - Absent, integrated into Advent

Joker - Resigns from comic relief in aftermath of EDI.

Javik - Thought to have entombed himself. Killed by Advent during confrontation.

Proposal for "Mass Shift" (DATE OF RELEASE: 2014):

    CC4+

Xy - Hanar exiled for his "problematic" confidence and impoliteness. (Approved)

Filbert - Biotic elcor too small/weak to live amongst his own kind. (Approved)

    Liara - Matriarch (Approved)

Bresha - Female krogan, distant granddaughter of Wrex.

    Advent - Protagonist (Approved)

Asad Grim - Shadow Broker and Director of Council Space. Volus villain-to-ally.
    (Storyboard available)

Murmur - The last Reaper, removed from the hivemind. (Approved)

I thought the same thing.. a few video sequence at the end could have made a big difference (at least in my opinion). Throw a video of Aria, the non-Citadel races and a few of your old squadmates in and you gave your players the feeling that some of their choices mattered.

Fake or not, I can easily believe the text about EA's involvement/oversight.

The most amusing thing about that possible leak is that if it is true, it means the Indoctrination theory is wrong and the writing was simple that bad.

The Indoctrination Theory is a long-shot/desperate hope, anyway.

That's always been the case. The "LOTS OF SPECULATION FROM EVERYONE" document proved the indoctrination theory dead wrong. People thinking that indoctrination was intended by Bioware at this point are fucking morons. It's just a well-supported fan theory that adequately covers up gaping plot holes. Take it as your ending if you want (I do), but in reality Bioware still fucked up.

EDIT: Also, I strongly doubt that the leak detailed above is true. Hanar and Volus squadmates? Yeah, no. Too difficult to animate (i.e. they don't move like humans), and infeasible for cover-based gameplay. Plus they're basically two of the comic-relief species, they're not going to make them serious now.

Javik also wasn't taken from a DLC, he was originally supposed to be the Catalyst.

I'm pretty sure a real DLC we'll be seeing is something about retaking Omega for Aria, since that thread of events seemed to lead absolutely nowhere and leave itself open to later resolution. Not that the resolution will even matter if Omega is cut off from the rest of the galaxy and left to starve without any Relays.

Well, Since my message was quoted twice I can't change it to sound better.

It means that the Indoctrination theory is impossible. That is a much better way to say my original meaning. I always thought the writing was terrible or I could pretend that it was some greater writing that went for a mind screw. Now only one of those is possible and everyone has to admit that the first is true.

The idea of Mass Shift sounds totally and utterly shit, whether it's real or not. I want to play as the hero, not the faggot who thinks he knows best and is driving around in a massive bug that was created by someone with a hard on for Lovecraft. Do. Not. Want.

By the way, Middy, it'd be probably easier to just straight out edit your 3 save file than look for an import that might match what you actually did. After a bit of searching, I found online the relevant plot IDs. I can confirm it does work, did some quick editing on Major Kirrahe prior to the STG Base mission and got him to appear in a import where he died. Let me know if there are any other decision you would want, though the Romance flags are a lot more annoying to set.

set PlotIDSet to true, PlotIDClear to false

    EDIT:

It shows how Bioware is completely unwilling to listen to criticism, despite their claims to the contrary. Stanley Woo is also notorious for being dumb as fuck and a shitty moderator.

    EDIT 2: Ninja'd by Fiat.

It's meant to show how little Bioware is listening to the fans anymore.

Also, fake or not, I can totally believe that EA is ruining Bioware. I mean, just look at what the fuck they did to a whole host of other companies and games.

Honestly, I think that whatever I could say here is already felt by people, when they read that post/moderator reaction.

Suffice to say that Bioware's reputation is now far, far down the toilet.

The 7 hour time differential between the posts suggests that there was a lot more in between.

Either way though, enough's been said about the censorship going on on the Bioware forums that further mention of it is simply petty and beating a dead horse.

Actually yeah, there was, though I didn't bother to find the actual thread until after I'd already posted the image. The point still stands though, in that the thread had a relevant discussion going on and was closed for no real reason by that moron Woo.

I only posted it because it sums up the relationship between Bioware and its fans nicely. If I wanted to flood the thread with images of stupidity from those forums, I have much better examples.
