Well he hunted down a hundred pirates cut out their hearts and sent them to the World Government.

 

They must have been pretty notable at least. Luffy crashed the Whitebeard War and has a bounty lower than Law's.

And so the mystery continues to build. I don't recall Law's ability, but what he just did is pretty darn awesome.

 

The "he cut out 100 pirates' hearts" thing... It just doesn't add up with Law's character. The 100 hearts must be a marine explanation of why because he did something worse (killing someone important in the marines, etc.) or those 100 hearts are from some bounties of men who tried to take over Whitebeard's territory a la Brownbeard style.

That or Law's super psychotic and he's been hiding it this entire time... And I kinda hope it's this.

Good chapter, lots of little lulz moments you can appreciate as is the norm for One Piece. Hell, it's what made the extensively long running scenes in Impel Down bearable. Just need the others to arrive now to make it more exciting.

Straw Hat rape faces are back.

 

Law's rape face is firmly in place too. Also, I'm disappointed in the Basil Hawkins for not completely killing brown beard.

 

It's entirely possible those hearts were all still alive (Highly probable too IMO)

 

Yeah... his fruit is becoming very interesting. Wish more of the chapter involved him this time through. Can't wait for Luffy to meet up with Law.

 

Law's ability appears to be total control over a specified area. This makes him scary as fuck inside the dome, but outside of it he's just some guy who happens to have a Devil Fruit power.

His power was probably intentionally gimped, otherwise Law would be the most powerful man in the world by sheer fact of being able to rip out your still beating heart and transfer it into someone else. Which is probably what he did. He walked into Marine HQ with 100 still-beating hearts, basically said "Sup?" and got the job.

Also, the inevitable Luffy vs Law fight is going to be epic. Since I know how this manga works, the finishing blow is probably going to be delivered after Law cuts off Luffy's arm but his forearm and fist are outside the dome flying in, and while Law is gloating about kicking Luffy's ass, suddenly, a fist comes flying in and knocks him the fuck out.

I would have thought turning his heart and the other internal organs into smoke would be the first thing Smoker does while fighting Law.

 

The next chapter is going to be soooooo awesome

 

I would think that's what the box around the heart was for. Even as smoke it's still there so he used an air tight method to take it.

So Law's ability removes the heart, but doesn't kill them? I guess he didn't kill any pirates at all then?

 

I really like this arc. I liked the entrance to the new world, I liked the dragon, I liked the crew getting gassed and kidnapped. I'm really digging Trafalgar Law and his devil fruit, and the fight that he just had, and the body swapping. The new villain looks really interesting as are all his minions. I like everything about this arc except for one the thing: the samurai. Does that guy annoy the hell out of anyone else?

 

Not really, he's obviously a part of the plot somewhere. Also arent the Samurai's badass killers or something?

Btw One Piece is fucking awesome. Everything flows well. Unlike some fucking manga's...

 

I don't mind the Samurai. He fits in very well. Law's removing the heart completely seems to ko the person for a while like Moria taking a shadow.

 

You know, considering it, giving the hearts of 100 living pirates might have actually been a better move than dead pirates. Maybe the government is so pleased because they now have a huge bargaining chip over a bunch of pirates. Depends on how the power works really- if the marines can kill the pirates at any time by destroying the heart, then this is a really big deal. Especially if Luffy's heart really is one of them.
