Ash: bad answer? Like, a lynch vote is used to put pressure on people. Look how quickly I started talking after I read this thread and realized there was a vote on me! Now, if I posted immediately after he voted me to getitoffgetitoff.jpg, I would probably be scum!lurker!

Like, currently, in the event that my posts are not prepared at all, or even read over, my town/scumness will come out best, etc and allow people to get a much, much better read on me, even if there's no Lungswagon.

I'd say that it depends on the person, as some might get complacent. For the most part though, people are more obvious when they are worried/under pressure.

That said, the check/doc/vig shit annoys me because generally on D1/D2, it's check suspicious figure 1 of 15, doc townish figure 1 of 15 and vig suspicious figure 1 of 15. >_>

 

My two strongest town reads are Eidolonic and Bill Door. Even though Eidolonic played very aggressive in Day one and tried to target me, I believe that he is doing what is best for the town by trying to make people post.

I didn't see anyone mentioning Bill Door as town but he just gives a towny feeling to me.l know its not good enough, but what can I say? Most of the player who are posting now gives me a vague scummy vibe.

I think that lynch votes can be useful in playing the game. Right now I seem to be making most of my decisions for lynch votes off of what people say. If they say something really stupid, I'm more likely to try and lynch them. If I don't really remember what they have been saying, I probably won't think about lynching them. If a quiet player gets piled on and accused of being a witch because they weren't talking, then I would find it suspicious if they didn't respond. And if they did, they have more of a chance of saying something stupid. Also trying to get someone lynched can get some informative posts written. https://forums.darklordpotter.net/showpost.php?p=551246&postcount=231 reminded me of post 192 and that makes me somewhat suspicious of kai. So in conclusion, I'd say that lynch votes are a good way to pressure people.

 

Lynch votes are the strongest tool the town has.

Words and suspicions alone don't create much pressure, unless they're backed up by the potential threat of death.

Someone say something stupid? Lynch vote - see if they either crack under the pressure, or receive incentive to defend themselves adequately.

Someone lurking? Lynch vote - them popping out of the woodwork to respond can be informative and telling, depending on how they handle it.

Basically, sitting around and waiting for people to mess up is not going to win us the game.

So many people haven't voted. Just because you place a vote doesn't mean that's the person you'll end the day voting for. Use them liberally, use them aggressively, and be active.

There are several targets that can use pressure on them. But 1-2 votes isn't necessarily enough for them to worry about. People that aren't posting? They aren't going to start posting if they aren't voted for, or even mentioned.

Town inactivity is the best thing scum can have going for it. Lets them blend in, control lynch votes, and force town to lynch sub-optimal targets just to avoid the threat of a scum!judge lynch. Which is what happened yesterday. Geabe was 'not' all that scummy, especially in comparison to Klackerz or even Ashaya - but we had to lynch him to make a lynch happen.

Vote early, vote often. Don't wait for the last minute, and sit back and let other people do your thinking for you.

 

Hey guys.. Sorry I've been kinda MIA these past couple days. Anyway, i'm here now, but its 3 am so i'll be brief.

Not even taking into account whatever you said today, yesterday you said that you didn't want to vote for either of the lynches because they were 'to bandwagony'. Can you please explain to me how a lynch that was being discussed over the course of multiple day's was bandwagony and not thought out?

But that's beside the point, really. The deadline was less than an hour away, and you said you'd check back. With the knowledge that scum!judge is possible, and a no lynch could let the scum have another kill on top of their night kill, how could you STILL not vote for on of the targets. Instead, you left your completely useless vote on Kai.

So, you're scum with a judge in your coven, and you were trying to cause a no lynch so he could kill someone else off. Nothing else makes sense, because, lets assume the town is judge, he could just as easily killed off Geabe or Klackerz, and you holding off from voting wouldn't stop one of them from dying. You didn't even suggest a better alternative.

Menace: For everything else, check out Menace's post. Apart from that one post thought, you haven't posted much. I think you're town atm, from that post alone, but I want to see more. Lets assume Ashaya is scum, name on of her most likely scum-buddy's.



@Lungs, you seem to come in only when there is no content to be posted. And you post random-ness. I think looking through your posts, out of the 24 posts you have, there are maybe 3-4 with content in them. If my vote wasn't on Ashaya, it would most likely be on you.

@Coleam: Never assume scum is smart, and give them idea's. This is what Geabe got lynched for. Even if you think its the most obvious thing in the world, don't give witches idea's of how to play, who to kill, or reasons for doing so. Whoever else did this, stop it. Coleam is just the only person I remembered from the top of my head.

Between yearbook and prepping for a job interview I've been a bit MIA. Also because I had nothing of value to add to the discussion.

Regarding my reasons for voting for Kai in the previous day. I still believe they're all true. I also still believe Mishie is scum. Then again, Kai has been railing against Ash and Lungs which is always pro town because meta tells us that Ash and Lungs are always scum.

Putting meta aside though, Ash and Lungs have said a lot while saying nothing. Ash claims she's in the middle of a long journey. I figure if she had nothing to do for five hours straight and she were scum she'd be posting more and trying to push town towards bad situations. Atm she's just flailing about for the fun of it.

Lungs I'm not sure of. He's definitely one to watch.

At the minute though I think Mishie's the more pressing concern. His idea to reveal info from the court is just plain bad because the longer the court is active, the better it is for town. Painting a target on court members doesn't fucking work.

My gut says Kai is the designated loud scum mouthpiece tryng to steer town in all sorts of directions while Mishie tried to put out an idea that would be negative for town while phrasing it as a good idea.

I'd be willing to bet if people hadn't rallied against Mishie's plan Kai would have backed it but brought up several reservations so he appears awesome and level headed. I'm really not buying it guys.

So it has been more than 24 hours since I put my vote on StrikerLee and it hasn't garnered any reaction from him. Leads me to believe that he saw my vote and that nobody else voted for him, so he just decided to ignore it, thinking that it would be the best way to avoid attention.

I am still of the opinion, that him saying that there were better targets for night kill and not wanting to get any reads on himself are scummy. So my vote stays. Answering the questions why he said that would have been better than just ignoring them.

 

Can I just point out just how retarded that is, surely if you think he's town then you should want every town member to stay alive.

I agree with guljons, Strikerlee is getting more and more suspicious in my book. So since one vote doesn't seem to do the trick, maybe a second will get him to start talking.

I also feel the need to call out some more lurkers. So Platypus_Assassin, thebrute7, Lutris, Castiel, more than half of day 2 has gone and none of you have posted. So lets ask some questions, name two town reads and one person you're suspicious of, give a little reasoning if you feel the need.

People need to talk more, it helps town more than anything.
