Ranged AD, on the other hand, is significantly easier for him.

Six games in a row lost today. Because of feeders, and leavers, and afkers. I didn't always do fantastically myself, but generally I was only negative in k/d near the end of the game, and then only because the other team was generally double our score before two holdouts finally gave up.

Yesterday it was five games.

I'm seriously considering quitting soloque entirely.

 

Don't bring that up.... . Nah, you're good fun to play with and it's challenging for me, helps build my skillz. I don't reckon I'm too bad- though you're much better than I am.

Actually, I'm a much better AP than I am as a ranged AD. I live in Australia so there's always some latency which can make last hitting a little harder. I run a decent mid, in my opinion, and it's probably my strongest role. Churchey's talking about this one game where the lag was a little bit worse than usual and by the time Tibbers came down the enemy wasn't in range anymore.

I love the shit out of Graves but its just fucking unreal how squishy he is. I have never played a character squishier than this.

But seriously, every time I've played with you, you've gone AD and wrecked with some support. Your AP has been average in the games with me though.

 

His passive is meant to compensate for how squishy he is. If you're not under direct attack, you should always be attacking something to build up your passive. Also, Wriggle's is godly on him.

"Fenraellis" here, and I frequently end up playing with Chaosguy, TSNLollipop, swordcookie, and especially Kellros. (I do play with InariofRaith, TheDeadGuy, Prometheius and others, but they are around somewhat less frequently) This is also mixed in with my other friends, of course.

Either way, not really having a truly consistent group of the same people, we mostly end up playing Normals, be they Blind or Draft Pick. If we get enough people online, we sometimes try to setup 5v5 or 4v4 Custom games, usually as ARAM(All Random All Mid), but sometimes as a Normal match, or even AR-Lanes, and we have even done Ultimate Bravery a few times to greatly amusing effect.

The long and short of it is, add me, and we'll see about playing some games, maybe even when I get home from campus a little later this evening.

It honestly just doesn't seem to work that well, I mean if I have a full ten stack round it is nice but if even just two of them seriously focus on me I don't die so much as stop existing. I love the mechanics of the character but the sickening squishiness is a pain in the ass.

 

Anyone EU West want to team up? I play all the roles pretty well, but played so many games top recently because it was my weakest; now it's probably my strongest role! User is The Bread Truck.

 

Sorry to say this, because you honestly seem to know what you're doing, but this sounds like a positioning problem. Either you're too far forward in your push (which can be forgiven) or you're too far forward in team fights (which can't). Graves doesn't have the range of Cait or Tristana or Kog'Maw, but he's no slouch, either. If you've played Ashe before, I think he has the same range as her.

On a completely unrelated note, Graves uses a shotgun yet doesn't have shit-tier range. Is he using buckshot or something? Then again, it's probably done for balancing issues because someone as good a shot as Cait is should be able to shoot someone from her inner turret and score a shot when they're standing at their inner turret. Then again, this is all guesswork based on how big the champions are on the map, and the time it takes them to cross it. Plus, Cait is using a rifle, which are notorious for having accuracy of up to 1000 meters and beyond.

 

I'm sorry if you are making a joke or something, but... isn't Grave's main harassment ability specifically called "Buckshot"?

 

He is in the top 3 for scaling of AD, Armor, and HP. At level 18, he has 3rd best AD, 3rd best HP, and #1 armor value for the 12 ranged carries (MF, Ez, Twitch, Ashe, Trist, Vayne, Corki, Cait, and Graves, Kogmaw, Urgot, and TF). Unless they've changed something recently, I think those numbers are still correct.

What I think you are noticing is his 525 range. http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Range (this lists the ranges of all champs)

All other carries beat that except TF and Kog not in siege mode. 25 range is a big difference when Vayne can shoot and scoot towards/away from you without you being able to fight back without using your one escape.

Most carries clock in at 550, with ashe at 600 and Cait at 650, Kog at 710, Trist at 703 at level 18, and Twitch at 875 with spray and pray. Urgot is at shit tier with 425 and sivir is next to worst with 500, but I didn't include her in there in the first place because I forgot.
