Slytherin! Last time, I was Ravenclaw. I always knew it was between those two, but I was happy with the sorting questions, and answered honestly and confidently. Well, nice. Now let's see if I cba to actually do anything else. I rather doubt it.

Fuck, They are selecting username themselves. Above all I have been notified that I would have to wait for a while to explore Pottermore. Any problem like this for you guys or is it due to some other reason?

 

You can't choose your own username, you have to accept what the website gives you. If you don't like any of them, you can always abort the registration and try again.

 

I got in straight away, I think it just means that the confirmation email might not be sent out for a while.

 

I got the confirmation e-mail and the account has been validated too, but it gives the message :

Have you tried just going to Pottermore and logging on normally, that's what worked for me.

 

Tried everything, looks like I will have to wait for the notification e-mail, no other option.

It's really frustrating, after such a long wait I have to go through this.

 

Ok, I've finished the whole thing and I've got to say I'm a bit disappointed. There's nothing that's bad exactly, I just think that it could all have been done a bit better. The bits I liked were the little additional bits of information, things like McGonagall's and Quirrell's backstories were brilliant. The problem is there is not enough that's going to make me keep coming back to the site.

Things that should have done this, like the duelling and potions, are meh at best and get boring after the first few times. I think that they should have done some sort of team quidditch game, that's the kind of thing that could have been brilliant, particularly with the house setup so you can compete for the quidditch cup.

As it is I'm probably not going to look at it again until they do the second book, incidentally does anyone know if that's going to happen soon?

 

Alright, I've finished the whole thing (left no stone un-turned and messed around with the duels and potions for a bit). It's decent, but not fantastic. I do like all the new information. McGonagall's back story intrigued me the most out of all the added character content and the bit about wands was the most interesting out of all the added information.

The tests for wands and house are amazingly accurate, at least for me. I answered all the questions honestly after taking a moment to seriously consider the options presented. In the end, my wand and house are dead on.

It's worth checking out at the very least. I'll be looking forward to the release of Chamber of Secrets.

 

Seeing as to how much time it took for first part, COS right now should be a far-fetched dream.

 

Indeed, though at the end of Philosopher's Stone it says it will be released soon. However, we all know Pottermore's definition of 'soon'.

Chamber of Secrets will make it to Pottermore around the same time that Half Life 3 is announced.

I tried to log into my old account today. Couldn't do it. I reset my password, so I know it's not a password problem. I just get redirected back to the front page whenever I log in.

Also tried to make a new account with a new email address. Couldn't get past the "Select Your Country" screen.

 

What is their fucking problem? Can't they just use an automated confirmation system? Why does it take eons for them to send a stupid mail?
