Happened same to me, actually it's been more than 12 hours since I made an account but still they haven't send a mail.

But the most hilarious thing, 2 hours ago I made another account, this time using Yahoo and to my extreme pleasure received the reply mail within minutes.

Don't know why that happened.

 

After everything else you really expect them to have THAT down?

 

It's retarded to annoy people in this way- don't they want to sell their miserable ebooks? Not that I have any need to buy them, but pissing users of before they even enter the site is dumb.

I didn't follow the (d)evolution of pottermore all that closley, didn't try to get into the beta testing either. Sure, I've seen that people were raging on their lameness and development problems, but making people wait hours just for a confirmation e-mail? Assclowns.

 

So around two hours into Pottermore and I must say, I am disappointed. Maybe my expectations were too high(after waiting a whole year).

I don't know what was worse, the way site interacts like we are kids or the users posting foolish comments. If I was maybe 6-8 years younger I would have loved this site but right now it just looks like a glorified net tutorial for nerdy kids.

Also, there were no earth-shattering facts or information which could clear some of my problems in cannon(maybe in later parts).

I've been waiting for my confirmation e-mail for over two hours. Rowling is one of the richest women in the world and she can't even spring for an efficient confirmation e-mail system?

Literally all I want to do is just get sorted. That's all. I still haven't figured out how yet.

 

If you have started using your account then just continue through the chapters. Sorting is probably in Chapter 7.

I got my confirmation email seconds after I signed up. But then again, I signed up within minutes after it opening. According to the Insider, they're trying to regulate the confirmation emails so that the site doesn't get absolutely flooded.

I got one just thirty or so seconds after the first one arrived. I completed mostly everything that there was to do in an hour. After reading some of the comments, I estimate 90% of the current users are from eight to twelve years old.

 

I don't know what house you got sorted into, but there is a fair amount of intelligence amongst the Ravenclaws.
