Is it just me or is this whole Sasuke and Uchiha thing REALLY old? I got over them and started to hate them around when Tobi was revealed to have a Sharingan.

 

Kabuto looks like he should be half man half deer. Like a Satyr. Look at that last panel; he has little deer ears and what look like little nub antlers.

 

He's gonna die. When the character we are supposed to root against has a flashback in mid fight, it means he's gonna die (eg. Danzou).

Even though it's filler, I wouldn't mind another chapter showing how Kabuto became what he was.

 

Flashback + no shirt, RIP Kabuto. I actually kind of liked the flashback tbh.

 

Only Tobi seems to know better than to throw away his cloak of invincibility.

And hooray for Kabuto biting the dust here. Hate that fucker.

To be honest, the few matches I've played online were godawful when it came to lag. It essentially becomes an excercise in who can press the most buttons the fastest. At least, for me it went that way, and that was while playing against people who had at least two bars in their little ping bullshit. (Honestly, why can't we actually have numbers? It doesn't take much to realize that the lower it is, the better). And, besides that, I borrowed the game from a friend of mine who religiously buys them. Once I'd finished the story and found out that the online play sucked I gave it back.

 

Seriously? I found the online play surprisingly good. I thought it all flowed very well (except for Deidara spammers-fuck those guys).

Dunno what happened to you man. I never had lag, and while losing to dudes who exploit every little tidbit is annoying, it's usually a fun experience.

 

Meh. Perhaps I'm misremembering it.

I kinda don't like the idea of Orochimaru having been one of Danzo's flunkies. Feels like it cheapens him somehow.

 

Not sure I believe Orochimaru was really a flunkie.

 

Certainly looked like one to me, standing at attention behind Danzo in his little ANBU cloak.

 

Projects the image of one, perhaps, but isn't one in the proper sense. I could see there being a "I scratch your back, if you scratch mine" relationship between them.

I suppose we'll see for sure in upcoming chapters. Though if he really is Danzo's lackey, then I'll be disappoint.

 

Well, even villains like Oro needs to start somewhere, so I can accept that at first he worked for Danzo.

 

It does, but it fits a bit thematically. Jiriaya and Minato were Sarutobi's chosen, while Danzo had Orochimaru and Itachi.

 

At first he was Sandaime's prized pupil (and I believe his original favorite for Yondaime) and one of the Legendary Sannin. He had plenty of a start without having to be retconned into one of Danzo's little boot lickers.

We already know they were involved as far back as the invention of Danzo's Sharingarm and Hashirama DNA implant.It's no stretch for Orochimaru to have been involved in ROOT way back.
It would have even made good political sense;a contender for Hokage would do well to be connected with all the players in Konoha.Plus,if you're an inveterate experimenter,doing favors for Danzo that you could cash in for hard-to-obtain materials is just good business.

Throw in the opportunity to recruit your own loyalists...

 

Only Jiraiya was never Sarutobi's chosen, or favorite. It was always Orochimaru.
He may have picked Minato for Hokage, but Orochimaru was his favorite student.
