I declare in a loud manner that I have recently been intimate with the other players mothers, and that they are homosexuals that enjoy insertion of male genitalia into their rectum.

 

This is surprisingly effective in my experience as well. Sometimes you just want to relax and kill stuff and not worry about other players.

On the other hand, sometimes you get that person in a bot game who tries to tell you off for running a troll build just to entertain yourself.

 

I either go for a jog or try to tilt my opponents. More for IRL gaming through -- putting an opponent on tilt when you're across the table from them at a large tournament is surprisingly satisfying.

 

I tend to walk away when I get pissed at a game, since I play for fun and raging at the screen isn't fun for me. After that it's either time to go read a story (I have made a habit of reading through the end of Dresden books when I'm angry, since they're always more satisfying to read when you're just as pissed off as the character), play a curbstomb game like Prototype or GTA (Prototype is my catharsis game: I use it to cool off), or just head out the room for a bit.

 

LoL is the only game I rage at, and I usually keep it to myself, or Steam msg another DLPers with... dude you won't believe this shit, lol. If I get pissed in game I just stop talking, or I finish the map and go rape the bots for a match so I won't wind up paired with the same retards if I click play again.

 

I take five, make myself some tea, and start getting focused instead of mad. Pounding the keyboard in rage just means you'll have to shell out for a new one.

That, to me, is mind boggling since video games are what I play to get RID of anger. I mean... it's a game. I'm having fun. If someone is spamming chat or taking advantage of exploits, I switch servers. If someone is playing in a way that is frustrating to me, I try to find a way around it.
Demo sticky camping? Ubercharge, bitch.
I've never really had any reason to be angry at a video game.

 

This is gonna come off as douchey but, I just ride it out. I generally play FFA but when I do play in a long team game with idiots I either just do my own thing or quit. I don't get angry at games often but when I do I just play on. If the person is making playing unbearable (like teamkilling or fucking shit up with rockets) then I quit.

I also try to deal with idiots in videogames by taking shit less seriously. I guess instead of getting angry I troll in chat. That and I say smh a lot. There's always at least one person (especially in LOL) who has no idea what it means.

Anyone here play L4D2? I have got 400+ gameplay hours and 200 of those were pure frustration and raging at noob teammates.

So I joined a clan. Best thing ever.

 

I either break my keyboard through pounding on it or break my mouse having thrown it across the room.

Then I calm down by spending half an hour looking for a replacement. :awesome
