Too many ifs? There was only one...

But yeah, it's a moot point now.

Yes, you've been posting consistently, but this is your first post with anything of substance.

Not sure what's so mysterious. Yesterday there were a few things that I thought needed discussion before we hammered, I had a plan that I liked and wanted to push, and I was trying to hint at the fact that I was the Pauper, not Kalas. Now, my role is useless, and it seems like I might divide up the lynch vote later on if I stay alive. If I get lynched now, at least I can activate the Vigilante. As I said, it's still better for us to take out the known scum, but I won't fight it too hard if you decide to lynch me.

Yes, my plan was a bit rushed - I thought it up as I was typing my reply to Menace, after all. I'm more of a think-out-loud kind of person though, and I wanted to get it out there as an alternative before we quickhammered.

I did say apart from the confirmed people, and Aurion and Gambit are the closest thing we have to confirmed town at this point. I'd be more worried if you didn't think they were town.

EBWOP: ignore that last bit - completely missed that Aurion already called you out on it.

Alright. Very nice series of events last night. Now we've gotta hit the Coven hard.

    Lynch Vote: Kalas

Now on to the final JWs:

Coleam- His performance yesterday was just... bad. His entire plan relied too heavily on us believing his role reveal and his allegiance, which sets off one too many alarms for my comfort. So yeah. Lynch this guy.

Bob99- Went along with Coleam's plan pretty damn easily. Reeks of a hail mary attempt to buy the JW!Court more time to me. Keeping my eye on this guy.

AngelRick/Taure/KaiDASH- After the above two things get fuzzy for me. I listed AngelRick and Taure because I have literally nothing to go on for either of them because of the shenanigans of their predecessors, and that makes my wary. I also listed Kai because his flip flop Court comments are just a bit suspicious.

    Let's get'er done.

If you think about it, it actually didn't. If I was scum (but still the Pauper), the effects would have been the same, except I wouldn't give you the names of the people on the Court. The JWs would still have been forced into the Coven and Aurion still would have gotten their identities. The Court wouldn't even get an extra kill because you could just bump one off the next day. If I was scum, but not the Pauper, then I'd have been sacrificing myself to waste the Bishop check and give the Court one more kill - basically giving up one JW to hide one EW and take out one more townie. Not really a useful, or logical, trade.

It relied far more on the Twilight Pagan, and as I said when I proposed the plan, it was a bit of a longshot that he would be alive and town.

But as I've already said, feel free to lynch me. At least you'll get a Vigilante kill out of it.

Er, no. If you were the scum!Pauper then the Court definitely would have gotten an extra kill, even with the Twilight Pagan activating their ability. There would have been four players at the start of the next day and Court doesn't disband until only two players remain.

---------- Post automerged at 10:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:22 PM ----------

Also, I feel like I'm missing something, but how the hell would the JWs have joined the Coven before Aurion's role activated if we went with your plan?

Sorry, I glitched out writing a post yesterday and then day ended before I got back.

Well now. Striker living is a pretty great sign. Kaidash is somewhat scummy with that plan with jwlk (if that's what it was). It looks reall bad.

For other JW, kinda sus on Rick. Didn't really like his posts so far.

    Vote: Kalas.

    ---------- Post automerged at 21:51 ---------- Previous post was at 21:51 ----------

Oh, crap, unvote Kalas. Didn't realize both scum could just pile on and end.

I did say that. However, that would be an incredibly stupid move for me as scum - get one extra kill in exchange for surrendering the entire Coven, JWs included? It would be even less likely than fake-claiming Pauper.

They join the Coven the night after it fails to make a kill. So we would have entered Night 6 with 16 players alive (Pauper survives death - no Bishop activation) and the Twilight Pagan's ability prevents the Coven from making a kill. The next day, we lynch someone, bringing the player count down to 15. Since the Coven failed to make a kill, the JWs join the Coven on Night 7, and because we're down to 15 players, the Bishop ability activates. Simple.

Scratch that - I'm half asleep and forgot what I wrote. You're right, I did forget to mention that the Court would still get an extra kill if I were scum!Pauper. It would still be an incredibly stupid move to pull though.

Ah, I was a bit confused in that aspect. I guess I assumed for some reason that as long as the Coven put in the votes for an NK the Twilight Pagan activating wouldn't force the JW to join. My mistake.

Regardless, it was still a pretty bad plan to just throw out there and expect us to go along with.

Hm, actually, looking at it again, I think I mixed up the two scenarios a bit. Because with the Pauper fakeclaim, the Court wouldn't get an extra kill (Twilight Pagan prevents Night 6, and you lynch one Day 7). So yeah, both ploys would be equally stupid. One sacrifices all scum for one kill, and the other sacrifices one scum to hide one scum.

---------- Post automerged at 12:23 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:20 AM ----------

I wasn't expecting everyone to just jump on board - honestly, bob99 doing that surprised me. I was hoping you'd at least discuss it as an alternative and give the TP (provided they were still alive) a chance to reveal. If we'd done the analysis we're doing now yesterday, then maybe people would have eventually decided to go along with it.

---------- Post automerged at 12:30 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:23 AM ----------

Also, the Coven wouldn't get the chance to lock in any NK votes. The TP would reveal before the end of the day, causing the game to skip over the Night phase. In other words, we'd jump straight from Day 6 to Day 7. Night 6 will still occur as far as the game is concerned, but it lasts for just a couple microseconds. if the TP were to reveal in the night, we'd end up skipping the next Night phase. At least that's how I understand the Pagan powers.

It can't work that way, otherwise a town Twilight Pagan would reveal on day one and the entire scumlist would be available by day two because of the spies that have no way of dying that early.

twilight pagan skips night entirely - the skipped night never happens at all, at least as far as game logic goes.

Huh, alright, I guess that makes sense. So it was a stupid plan then.

    Moving on...

Good soft confirm for me, KaiDASH. If you're not the Twilight Pagan, one of your scum buddies is.

Well, After we lynch Kalas, The rest of the JW's will join Coven and then we will have possibly 3-4 people to kill off. However if there is atleast 1 spy left then maybe we have a shot at getting all the names. The key would be for angels to protect the right person tonight and allow them to gain the information needed for town to win. This however relies on the angels actually protecting the right person and not sure if they would be enticed to do so without some sort of role reveal. This is all theory but it could play out in towns favor.

I was just stating a possibly theory for Town thats all. Although its extremely unlikely to happen just thought I should point it out if Town wants a chance to win this.

Striker. The Junior Witches/Spies join only after ALL Elder Witches are dead or a no NK by witches.
We have to lynch both Kalas and guljons first. Just lynching kalas doesn't cut it. Which is why the Twilight Pagan should use their ability tonight. If they are alive and town it basically ensures a Town win.

Oh dear, sorry for the late post, but here's something of substance so hopefully you can get a read on me. I didn't mean your plan was necessarily mysterious, I thought it was a rushed plan to try and that would likely get an extra kill for the scum. I called you out on it to try and learn more and see what I could uncover beyond that. It's fine that you think out loud, but understand, I might call you out on it.

What makes me suspicious now, is how you go from a bit of spastic posting, to a more relaxed "it's okay if you lynch me" thing. It's quite the 180, but there is a good chance you're not scum and I'm just reading too many of your posts. But the important thing right now is to lynch the people we know are witches.

And you're right about the confirmed players part, I did indeed derp with that.

I'm going to assume that was directed at Guljons and not thebrute, but is there maybe something you want to tell us? Or is this a simple confirmation that yes, we have to lynch Guljons too?
