What is with the freaking Tiamat builds lately? I've seen two mDPS in the past two days just stacking them. The GP in one of my games actually spent five minutes going on about how wriggles/Zerkers/4 tiamats was viable.

 

Because Certain champs *coughFioracough* do BS levels of AOE damage using Tiamats. However, many others fail because they lack defensive techs or mass AOE on-hits, ex everyone else.

 

Fiora I can see it being semi viable on (with her auto bounce + as + ult) but GP? less then 2000hp, less damage then a real build, lasted a grand total of 1 second in teamfights.. the ONLY thing he was even slightly good for was clearing minion waves. Real help there.

 

Ranged Q that gets bonus damage, his parleeys would hit very hard on clumped targets.
Tiamats fiora isn't viable either in a serious setting either.

Most of your games won't be serious settings

 

I still say a Shyvanna with 5 Tiamat is awesome Troll, but if she hits someone inside a minion wave, it splashes and hits them 40 times o,0 Instant kill. Also funny in team fights. The person you hit doesn't die, but everyone around does

 

Miss Fortune is fun with Tiamat stacking too. It's not as trolly as Shyvana getting triple procs, but Double Up makes those things hurt.

 

So apparently Ryze's E will now prioritize enemy champions, meaning it's gone from a skill that was OP as fuck, to one that was just good for farming and proccing his passive, to something that can be used for some very interesting harassment. As it's been said before, although the ratios were decreased for his Q and W, this has been a MAJOR buff for ryze. Sure Q lost 1% dmg and W lost 0.5%, but when you take into account the fact that his E bounces, that extra 1% is really 6%, more when you take into account his R . Overall, fuck yeah Ryze.

 

Someone did the math, with the same standard tanky ryze build that he uses now, he will deal more damage at all phases of the game post patch. So ryze will be just as stupidly OP as before, except now he will have multiple build paths if you want to try something new.

And his E will now prioritize champions. So not only will he deal more damage, it'll be even easier to play him, too.

Edit: I am so tired of people playing shitty builds during my best games. My last game for instance. I went something like 19/8 or somesuch. And it only got to eight because we had an AD MALZAHAR.

There are few champions that can do anything with a troll build. I do believe that Malzahar is not one of them.

 

AD Malz only works in Dom bot lane 1v1. Otherwise, it's absolute shit.

Scaling voidlings with 40% CDR and a tanky Malz are fucking scary.

 

He can work with AD, in incredibly rare circumstances. As Evan said, his voidlings scale with his AD. Additionally, if you have high enough CDR you can have multiple voidlings up at once.

Malefic visions so your minions are attacking your target, ult and watch.

Rarest of rare circumstances when it actually works, but it's hilarious when it does.

 

Just did some stat checks right now on Ryze, using the exact same build of AA Staff, RoA, FHeart, Bveil, WotA that all Ryzes would build.

Current damage:

Q = 548 per hit
W = 637 per hit
E = 249 per hit


New damage after patch:

Q = 568 per hit
W = 615 per hit
E = 294 per

 

Hmm, but that's after AA Staff right? Most Ryze usually don't rush that (almost last item to build if anything despite early tears), so I'd imagine they'd have to sacrifice being tanky in the beginning if they want the extra damage output. It changes the build a bit. Whilist before they can go Tears>Catalyst>Glacial Shroud>Banshees and still do a lot of damage, they would have more incentive to choose Rod of Ages now. Same with AA Staff, if you want that extra damage, may choose to finish that up before finishing FD/Banshees/WOTA (Especially WOTA after the nerf too)

Still need to learn an AD carry, and an AP mid. I can't seem to find anyone I like.

 

Just wait and try out champions that are on free week. Also, champions that you like and champions that you're good with are two very different things. I'm decent with both Ahri and LeBlanc, but I find them boring to play, as an example.

EDIT: Is it just me, or are the same champions always on free week? Zilean was just free one or two rotations ago. I mean, honestly, they have 80 champions, and it's 10 a week. It's not difficult to roll through all of them over the course of 8 weeks, then reset the rotation. Each new champion is on free week two weeks after they come out. That's fine and dandy, so either bump it up to 11 that week, or sub out a champion that everyone has (LIKE ASHE, FOR THE LOVE OF FUCK) and put them in there.

It's like Riot is intentionally doing this.

 

Sure the numbers only show a small increase in dmg for his E, but I cannot stress how fucking broken it is that they now go for enemy champions. This means that I can use my E on a caster minion and have a 90% of free harassment, plus +4 mana making me stronger and stronger every time I do it, and when you take into account that since it now targets enemy champions, it can hit up to 3 times instead of only once if you're lucky... this is only going to make Ryze even more broken and I'm okay with that .

 

Isn't the goal here to provide some easy/common champions for all those low levels who are still trying to figure out how to play?

 

Looking forward to the Master Yi changes. I don't know however if they are keeping the Q change.
