Liking the last few episodes.
Went looking for some fanfic. However, most of them can't seem to catch his acerbic tone, and humanize him far too early and far too much. Anybody know of any good ones?

 

This episode was amazing, both plotlines really had me hooked, and House and Wilson was fucking amazing. Other than House and Masters (when she was on the show), my favorite character has always been Chase.

I think I'll be much happier with the end of the show than I expected.

 

I really loved the series in the beginning. However, I think it was the end of season 5,

when House willingly went to a mental health facility or something, due to his hallucinations.

That's when I dropped it. Think it's worth to watch after that?

 

Clerith, first of all the episode right after you quit is fucking amazing, and second, yes go watch the rest, it's quite good.

 

Yes and no. After the double episodes at the start of season six (which was legit amazing), the old formula returns. There's still entertaining and good episodes in there, but there are more and more bad ones.

Worst case, just watch the last two episodes of each season and the first two of the ones after to get a good gist of what's happened. Then, start off from two episodes ago and watch the finale.

 

Although it isn't as great as it used to be, the show did get better after Cuddy left. I really only watch for House, Wilson, and Chase though.

Chase gets some weird ass storylines. Commits murder, gets stabbed; all in a days work.

 

So I finished season 6. It was... well, overall it was about average with the previous seasons. Definitely didn't regret watching it, though. I did, however, hate the first episode. Maybe it's just me, but I actually like the hospital formula. I hate it when House is having mental issues and hallucinations. Double episode in a mental facility and therapy and ugh... just no thanks.

My favorite characters are House, obviously, and Chase. Wilson's okay. Cuddy's been decent too, imo. But I guess I might change my opinion, now that she's dating House. Everyone else seems to be glad she's gone, so we'll see =D

 

And so the journey ends. Not an amazing series finale. The 'twist' if it can even be called a twist was obvious. I am happy to see House run it's course though. Certainly beats being cancelled.

 

Anyone else up for a Chase MD spin-off?

 

I'd give it a few years, and limit its run beforehand maybe? but yes absolutely.

 

Umm No. Chase plays off of House and isn't really all that interesting on his own. The only spinoff I'd be interested in is House after Wilson's dead going around randomly curing people while trying not to be found out while living out a life of hedonism.

 

I could totally see House coming back to the hospital with a different face (he is friends with a plastic surgeon, after all), dieing of some terrible disease, and forcing his old team to figure out what's wrong with him.
