Nah problem was he was level 14, nightmare has level 25 requirement.
What's the most efficient powerleveling method? I'm pretty sure they've nerfed the Azmodan runs so that the quests give 8k instead of 44k.

I know about the Hell(50) and Inferno(60) level requirements, but is he not meeting a Nightmare level requirement? Honestly not sure what it would be... 30 perhaps?

    :EDIT:
Oh, it's 25, is it? Good to know, I guess.

    Free Gear Dye Job

Since I bought the collector's edition, I'm pimping myself out for free dye jobs at no charge.

Can do White or Silver on shoulders, helmet, chest, and boost.

Reflect mobs are assholes and must die.

Joined Howdy's game on my DH and Wizard. All champions basically had Reflect, Fast + Vampiric. Teleport + Vortex, or Minion Shield, so my kiting was worthless.

Really? I can understand the hatred for fast + vamp, Vortex + anything, and invul, but I really never have any trouble with reflect mobs... Then again, I kite with Blizzard + Venom Hydra and have lots of HP regen, so I recover whatever damage I take from the reflected damage. The actual attack, on the other hand...

I hate naturally fast minions. A lot. Laguni and Soul Lashers should not exist.

Agreed. Certain mobs should not be allowed certain buffs. It becomes infuriating.

The invulnerable buff is new in D3 and it makes me a little crazy, since standard "boss" mob logic has always been to take out the minions first.

    This shit is hard.

I concur. Invulnerable minion bosses are absolutely brutal. Honestly, I skip them far more often than I fight them. The inability to deal with the minions is bad, but the fact that they always seem to surround the boss, stopping you from actually HITTING THE DAMN THING, boarders on impossible.

Especially if it is invulnerable + molten + teleport/jailer/vortex. I wish anyone willing to take something like that on a great deal of luck. I, however, refuse to spend 10k gold on repairs and 20 minutes to have a chance at killing a single mob.

reflect minions destroy me as DH, no counter to the damage besides SS which is super heavy cost when you have to use it WHENEVER you want to deal damage. I don't mind most packs, lots of things are manageable even if they get super hard suffix combos.

But fuck you if you get lacuni/frogs/tongue lashers with ANYTHING on them. Fuck those things so hard.

Frog, reflect, Waller, and Electric. WE zerged them like 5 times, strapping grenadier on, just to kill them.

    LOL grenadier haha

I do want to try a grenades with hatred generation rune+grenadier+clustershot build

Anyway if anyone is looking to powerlevel fastest way is ZK runs

Start black soulstone quest, player 2 joins.
Player 1 engages zultun kulle, player 2 declines.
Player 2 leaves, creates game, completes talk to adria quest.
Player 2 rejoins player 1, player 1 leaves and restarts game. Player 2 turns in quest again.
Player 2 rejoins player 1, turns in quest.
    Rinse repeat.

I imagine this will be nerfed by monday, so if you want to do it do it soon
Yea seems like it gives EXP at the rate of the old azmodan quest turn ins, but the rushed player has to run two feet to get to the turn in, honestly seems much much faster.

I'm currently blizzard + venom hydra too, and my hydra kills me in ~7 seconds against reflect elites, even if I take no damage from anywhere else. 25k HP 27k damage ;D

You can do it faster with Azmodan and Iskatu, though I forget exactly how much Exp they gave. I'm pretty sure it's faster too, since Azmodan is a pushover for pretty much any class and Iskatu can be chained on right after.

What's the Exp from Black Soul Stone? That's literally the one quest I have never finished on any character.

Wizard spamming Blizzard + hydra + Kite all day long. I tried using Meteor Showers for lulz, but mobs move too fast now to reliably hit with 4-5 of the space rocks. Probably will go back to using Arcane Orb.

I had great fun running Meteor Shower alongside a Wizard that was using Blizzard.

-Even if it was even exp, Black Soulstone is two feet from the waypoint, where Az needs you to run down a full level where jailers/wallers and sheer numbers can occasionally slow you up even more. Undergeared 60s might even die to particularly strong elites or rares.
-No matter what difficulty, ZK is an easier kill than Azmodan.
-For ZK the rushed player sits in town and moves about the distance of one player flag to another around the waypoint.
-Moot point, they nerfed Azmodan to 1/5th the xp it used to give.

Takes 10 seconds to run from WP to ZK, 10 seconds in and out to kill him on normal/nm, add 30 seconds for game swapping and this is about a minute long run.

Hell ZK takes 20-40 seconds to kill, but still runs are done in less than 2 minutes for 3 quest turn ins. Quest xp was scaling with level, but from 30-52 each level took between 2 and 4 runs for a level.

Just the run time on Az/Isk destroys any hope of those quests competing with this for exp gain.

I've never needed to rush a character, interestingly. 60 is so easy to hit, even if you are just finishing the quests, with no add dungeons. My demon hunter is half way through act 3 in NM and is level 48. I have completed exactly 0 non-essential dungeons and only kill mobs that get in my way.

Then again, all of my gear is plus exp, and I have a radiant square in my helm, so...

    Word of advice?

Keep all the good shit that you find/create for the Real Money Auction House.

It's predicted that shit like high-level one-handed weapons are going to make a killing.

As well as Salvage Materials, strangely enough.

The ten auction cap is killing me. Even pricing my decent stuff at like 1-2k bid and 2-3k buyout the first tab of my stash is almost full of yellows to sell. Which of course DLP could have for cheap or free if they wanted to, just ask.

I've been selling all my stuff pretty cheaply too, just to get rid of it. 2000 gold is better than no gold in my opinion, or if it's just shit, I'll salvage it.

On powerleveling vs regular leveling- I wouldn't want to powerlevel my first character, but the goal is to play with a friend and progress in inferno, which he can't do on monk without a lot more farming first. The easy solution was reroll something more viable. This method let us do 35-60 in around 4 hours of play time.

On trading, I bought out a full stash (tabs cost 100k/200k, gives you 14 slots, all 14 slot buys are 10k if anyone is wondering) and it is entirely full of things I want to sell. I also have around 30 failed auctions or won auctions that I intend to sell sitting in the AH completed section.

Use the trade forums. I posted 45 items and only sold 9 of them, but they made me 2mil between them. I saved on the 15% AH fee (which would've been 300k gone) and got sales instead of more shit in the unsold pile because the AH is so unreliable. Someone searching for 100dex 100vit gloves isn't going to see your 98 dex 50 vit 50 All resist gloves but if they come in to your sale thread and see them, they will want to buy.

And if you post them or bump your thread whenever the AH goes down, you are GUARANTEED buyers because they flock there. Plus for a smart seller it's like reverse haggling. Instead of "I want 100k-->I'll give you 50k" you say "Current offer is 100k" and the buyer says "I'll give you 120k"
And if the bidding isn't climbing like you wanted, you don't end up giving them away for a low price because you can just say no.

You can also get better deals on the trade forums because people who want to clear space or get cash quickly go there, not to the AH.

I advise that you make your post say not to add you to friends and to post bids here. D3's chat system is balls for sorting through multiple tells. I sold a pair of pants for 500k yesterday because I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of tells I was getting about them. Since most were offering 50-150k, I figured the 500k was great and would let me say "Sold sorry" and have the end of it. Turns out they were all lowballing me and 4 players whispered me with bids of over a million a few minutes later (which meant I could've had a bid war). I console myself by saying it's only 500k, but it likely could've been 1mil-1.5mil lost.

Just let them post it out on the forums and add them at your leisure.

Also I have a lot of gear for sale if anyone is interested, best prices to DLP guaranteed.

    My friend's newly powerleveled WD is using a 900dps 2hander he got for 100k, a 60 int/108 vit/3 socket chest I got for 50k, 54 int/50vit/20AR/2%crit bracers I got for 25k, 70int/100vit/45AR boots I got for 40k, 50 int/130vit/25 AR belt I got for 40k, and a 50int/47vit/45 AR helm with socket for 75k.

He's got quite a few slots filled with very nice items that won't need replacements soon (especially weapon slot) for less than 300k

Well, when I get back home and am able to play again, I'll likely be tapping the DLP's stash of items.

I'll pay, of course, because I hate accepting charity, but it's good to know that there's an easily accessible group of folks who I know won't scam me.

I find it hilarious that Howdy's DH's DPS shot up by 1k once I gave him a 1-H crossbow I didn't want for my own DH.
