First time I played Gold, I was grinding my Chikorita in the grass right outside New Bark right after I'd gotten it. All of a sudden boom, shiny sentret, all up in mah face.

I was breeding up a charmander for a buddy back when I was playing Fire Red. I was trying to get the perfect stats and moves from the baby when lo and behold! Shiny Charmander.

He didnt get that one.

 

I've got a Japanese Ditto, which has aided me in acquiring a shiny Charmander, Squirtle, and Lapris.

Foreign pokemon give you something like a 1/1000 chance of getting a shiny, rather than 1/8000. And Ditto is a whore.

 

Not sure if this belongs here, but I just realized my heart looks like a Kabuto and felt like sharing.
