So I just spent three hours getting the blood in act two, along with countless deaths and around 70k on repairs. It hurt. A lot. I ended up dropping every damage item i had on me, filling my tree with defensive skills, mirror image, and wave of force (plus teleporting rune), teleport, and then ran to the blood.

Brood hatchlings hurt. Far more than they should. And invisible snakes are broken. They should take damage when walking through a blizzard, even if they are invisible!

I learned something cool though. When mirror images cast wave of force with the teleport rune, they cause enemies to teleport. Having five mirror images teleporting all the stupid spiders out of the way while I made a run for it was so very helpful.

Now I just have to open the shadow locks... and go to the shadow realm... then battle Belial's snakes again... yay me!:rrou:

    Inferno?
Yea it's a bitch. Snakes can walk over my traps and are immune to all of my damaging abilities while invisible. Anything reflects damage+extra health is invincible to me. Very few times I can get them to the entrance and zone in and out using impale+smokescreen to immune the damage reflect. I got a 280k crit with impale that one shot me from reflect damage. Now it takes 2-3 crits like that to kill myself because I have more than 15kHP, but it's still absurd. So many unmanageable packs that I have to abuse zone in mechanics more than I'm comfortable with. Zone in, smokescreen, 2ximpale, zone out and wait for 80%+ crit and some regen, then repeat.

At one point my friend had to leave and lose his 5 stack so that I could kill some molten/shielding/fast/horde spiders that had us camped at the entrance. He has 13k damage but is just running dogs/zombiegiant/superslowarms/zombiewall with the WD escape and blow dart primary attack for damage. He has 35kHP and 200+resist all, so he can take a few hits and his pets can too, but he is absolutely useless for so many elite packs except for just being around to keep them from resetting. And the sad thing is that fresh to 60 (he replaced his gloves with a random pair off the ground when he realized he was using level 20 +15 int gloves), he is infinitely more useful than his monk. Game balance.

I did up through the first shadow realm today, just one more shadow lock, finding his body, kill ZK, then belial. Who is probably one of the hardest inferno bosses. Not because of his damage, but because of his goddamn snake adds in phase 1 and 2.

Picked up a Nat's shadow (http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/natalyas-shadow) with like 30 dex but 140+vit, 9% life, and 3 sockets for 1.2mil. I lost 1500 DPS (I'm now at 86k w/ sharpshooter) but gained 5k HP and also have a great DH chest piece for sale if anyone is interested in my old one. I have a LOT of DH pieces actually so let me know. I'm hoping to find another piece of Nat's and get the 2 piece bonus (7% crit) which would be amazing. 3 piece would really be great for 130dex on top of that.

I'm very much enjoying d3, despite all its faults.

I finally figured out why the VA for Fem!Wizard sounded so familiar.

    It's princess Azula from Avatar.

I agree completely. D3 is quite entertaining, although a few problems continue to exist (legendaries are so bad right now...). I'm sure they will get patched sooner or later, though.

Btw, you know how you had to zone abuse to get through some enemies? Imagine doing that without smokescreen...

Sometimes I hate being a wizard. Or wish I had reached Inferno earl enough to farm with Force armor or Purma-Frost Nova.

Well, time to go burn 100k trying to activate the shadow locks!

Yeah, my main is a monk but I've been contemplating just rerolling with a lolranged class, just so I don't have to be absurdly geared to get past Act II.

Sigh. I really like monk too. Definitely not fun in Inferno, though. ;/

His monk is more geared than I am outside of weapons.
He can tag along for butcher runs (halls of agony 1-->chamber of suffering) but that's pretty much it. He can't solo them, he can't kill butcher before the chamber is too covered in fire, and he can't do any part of act 2. Meanwhile I can farm act 3/4 if I get the waypoint from someone. =(

I just finished my 115th attempt at killing Belial in Inferno... and died. Again. Out of 115 attempts, I died about 30 in the first part, 81 in the second, and 4 in the third...

This is insane. Snakes are endless, Belial's rush and punch in the second stage is nearly a guaranteed hit, even if you are on the other side of the crescent when he finishes his swing, and everything he does in the third stage one-shots me, even though I have 25k hp, which is not much, until you combine it with force armor and diamond skin... I'll try again tomorrow, I guess...

Anyone want to join my attempt? That revive might be really useful...

Archer it took me about 45 minutes.
Lost my Neph valor buff after the first 30 so I swapped out some spells. Turret with 15% reduced damage taken shield didn't stop me from being one shot and its damage wasn't worth the disc drain, however low.
I finished it using ss/caltrops/prep/nether tentacles/devouring arrow/mark of death. The biggest thing was switching out my chestpiece for something with more +disc on it, which gave me more wiggle room with smokescreen and caltrops. Once I got it into phase 3 it was cake. Occasional nether tentacle while doding, then when he sets up for a breath I ran to one side and shot nether tentacles through him. Each nether tentacle does 145% weapon damage to enemies it passes through. When attacking him from the side, each one hit him 7-8 times and I got 9-10 off. Killed him after one left-right-smash, breath, and meteor fuck all thing he does.

Free farming act 3 now with very little trouble solo. When my WD friend jumps in though we can really feel the hurt vs bad combos.

Churchey, I envy your demon hunter. Smokescreen would be nice -_-

I'll try again later with a different combo. Maybe I'll get him. What was your DPS at?

I know Demon Hunters > Wizards in regards to dps, but I'm curious. I hit 31k with my glass cannon build, but also die to two hits from a snake.

my DPS is 86k with sharpshooter and I think 40k without.
But while I may have SS, I die in one hit to anything sneezing in my direction in the belial fight. I have 31k hp though.

I hope the AH stays down for a long time, I'm bidding on a legendary for 500k and I hope it stays that low

So I'm assuming I should just focus on turning my ass into uber glass cannon instead of trying to build noticeable defense past 25k HP in Inferno ACt 2, right?

31kHP doesn't let me live through most hits. I can tank pretty much anything for one hit in act 1, and quite a bit in act 2 as well. In act 3 everything one shots me if I get hit.
In that sense, glass cannon works just as well. Get hit and die, may as well focus on damage.

But if you build glass cannon you will have really no chance vs reflects damage or god forbid reflects damage extra health.

All my current wares, some have sold. If the AH comes up, you can find an AH semi-equivalent and I'll half price it to you. If the AH price is something absurd we can work something out that isn't. Four images there 57 items.

I'd probably just stack spike traps and watch things explode, if I needed that much damage vs reflect mobs.

Maybe it's because i'm not in inferno yet, but in nightmare, I'm practically a glass cannon, but I survive by having a huge pickup radius, so when stuff dies i instantly pick up the gloves. Admittedly, that means you have to be able to tank at least 1 hit for bosses and the like, but for damage reflect I don't even worry.

My radius is like, 25 at the moment, and all the future pieces I get will have it too. If I can get it up to 50, that'll mean (i think) that I'll be able to pickup from almost the whole screen, or a significant portion of it. How many yards across is the screen?

How would you clear trash using the spike trap build? You can't switch your spells without losing neph stacks.

NT, Caltraps, Stampede? The only thing I do is replace 1 skill with bandolier spike traps for elites.
