According to the wiki the next episode is out on 9th June. So no new episode next week either. I am not amused.

You guys realize all shows do this? Normal shows air for 9 months, but usually only have 24 episodes or so. That's 12 or so weeks, 3 months, in which there are no new episodes. They have a month or something during winter where there aren't any new episodes, and they spread the rest of them out.

Honestly I don't watch enough TV these days to have known that, no. I figured whenever a show skipped a week it was because something bad happened somewhere, or maybe there was a holiday (like this weekend).

Episode started slow, picked up in the middle, and then ended with a bang full of awesome.

I had a Korrgasm when she pulled an Azula.

! And here I thought we weren't getting an episode today. Thanks for the headsup.

Tarrlok killed Aang? Huhwhoaaaaa if that's true.

Yakone is a phrase meaning "blood in the snow" in an Inuit dialect. Perhaps he's also a bloodbender. Tarrlok's father, perhaps?

I wonder if Aang somehow being killed by bloodbending could have sealed away a portion of the Avatar spirit, thus removing Korra's ability to access airbending or the Avatar state.

Next one is called "Out of the Past," so I guess we're getting a full explanation about Yakone finally.

On the most important topic I noticed:

Is it just me, or did Korra's tits get bigger? :awesome:awesome

Seriously: Tarrlok (Is it just me, or does he make you think of Sarlacc?) Is a raging douche who deserves whats coming to him. I can't wait to see Korra put the smackdown on him.

This is either wild mass guessing,
or you know something about Avatar Aang's death that I don't.

Pulling an Azula? Please, son. If anything she's pulling an Iroh. Don't you know why he's called the Dragon of the West?

    Awesome episode. I think that
Aang didn't die due to Yakone at that time. Yakone was dealt with about 40 years ago and Aang died about 23 years later. However, I think Yakone's bloodbending may have caused some permanent damage in Aang, Toph, and Sokka - hence, they are all dead somewhat early but Zuko and Katara are still alive and kicking. Just some random theories, but I think Tarlokk is Yakone's son and is probably hiding that fact and trying to redeem his heritage by making a name for himself by dealing with this new threat. Also, Tenzin and his kids were hilarious this episode. I hope someone makes a GIF of Korra's freaked out face when Ikki spills the deal about her infatuation with Mako.

    1) I think you're right. Uhh...bloodbending implants?

    2)
I'm making wild guesses based on the vision of Aang at the end of the episodes. It seemed to show somebody - presumably a young Tarrlok - committing murder through bloodbending. It'd be one way for him to rise into political power. One of these flashes was of an airbender who I thought was Aang, lying on his side and looking to be in pain. Iirc, Aang died of a heart attack at a younger-than-expected age due to his stay in the ice. This could have been caused by bloodbending.

I was making the comparison to Azula being chained up and spewing fire in a rage fit... not the actual ability to breath fire.

Also, yes Yakone was a bloodbender. You see it in this episode's flashback.

I had had a theory that Tarrlok and Amon were either the same person or working together--Tarrlok oppresses the non-benders and Amon exploits the resulting resentment. Tarrlok's face when he was accused of being as bad as Amon, however makes me think twice--he seemed too upset by that comparison to be true.

Nice to finally see some higher-level bending. Really missed it.

Yeah, I'm not so sure he's Amon any more. He is turning into Adolf Hitler though, so I'm beginning to think he's going to end up as the true Big Bad of the series.

I hope not. I want Amon to take his bending. This show is definitely getting better about the lack of action.
