Oh lol. Trust Tony Stark to be fighting for his life against an alien invasion and pause to consider the merits of trying out a new fast-food type.

I actually tried shawarma after seeing the movie.... not bad, I've gotta say.

On topic, seeing as this is taking place during Iron Man 1 so far, will we be seeing Thor in the time/place of his own movie? (not sure if the recent Marvel films take place in the same general time-frame).

Yes. We'll be getting Harry and Banner interacting first (coming chapters) but Thor will come up as well - if there's anyone who gets the whole magic business, it's gotta be Asgardians. ;)

Great story here! Could you post the links to the new chapters at the top of the first post? Might make it more convenient for most people here.

Also, how's work on Death shall have no dominion? :)

They're at the bottom right now, though I suppose switching that could work.

Regarding DSHND : due to this fic, it's been delayed a bit. ;)

BTW, who keeps adding insane tags to this story? ;)

I added the donkey tag thought it was appropriate.

You're one of many, my friend.

On another note, Avengers doesn't come out here until August.

But I'm reading this right now and I don't care about that no more. <3

I cannot believe there is a second awesome comic crossover besides Water Mage's story.

    Mad props.

At the risk of sounding like a FF.net reviewer, a great chapter! About the only thing I wasn't entirely sure about was the level of disbelief that Fury and the technician had about Harry leaving Fury's phone on. That seems to me incredibly important, since to them, Harry's an incredibly dangerous adversary, and one who shouldn't make such basic mistakes. Perhaps it could clue them into the fact that Harry isn't all that experienced with technology, at least the advanced forms? That's the interpretation I'd take away from it, though obviously I'd have the benefit of not only hindsight, but also actually knowing who the hell Harry is.
Even if that comes into play later, I still think that perhaps emphasizing the surprise those two felt would be a good idea.

Well, they could guess that Harry isn't experienced with technology, but on the other hand both sides are aware that the Nano-probes can still be used to track him down. For all they know right now Harry doesn't care about them knowing where he is going, especially if he stopped using his "dampening device".

Oh, I wasn't talking about the nano-probes, I just meant that it's such a stupid mistake to leave a phone you took from the head of a ludicrously well funded spy-agency turned on, that it would potentially lead them to make assumptions about Harry. On the other hand, you raise a good point I hadn't thought of, which was that it could be Harry leading them into a trap, which is probably something they should also consider.

Harry's actions concerning S.H.I.E.L.D. until now paint him as being very arrogant about his own abilities. The way Fury would see things: it could be that Harry is so sure of himself that he doesn't fear being tracked. And if that were true, he would be willing to keep the phone on and use it.

I guess, but it seems foolish to assume that someone whose capabilities you do not know, who came out of nowhere and seems to be opposed to your organization is merely arrogant. It seems to me that assuming that your opponent is merely arrogant instead of potentially luring you into a trap is a poorly thought out idea. Is it possible? Absolutely, but assuming the worst is a wonderful way to live long enough to move past that worst.

    Hehe, not bad. :)

One has to remember that Harry knows a little more than SHIELD - he knows by now that SHIELD's tracking him via the phone, for example. That said, he also knows both where Banner is and that SHIELD knows this as well, and has sped over to beat SHIELD to the punch. Yes, I'm essentially disembowling the Incredible Hulk movie in a sense, at least partially.

Harry's not (yet) aware of the fact that Natasha, Barton and such have been sent after him, just that SHIELD's trying to figure out how to keep him from apparating, which he's not too worried they'll figure out for obvious reasons. (they don't know about magic. :p)

Yeah, pretty much the only way they can keep harry from apparating is to knock him out. they are only going to get failure in their experiments to block him.

It would be hilarious if they actually figure out a teleport dampening field, but it does absolutely nothing to harry since his method of 'teleporting' is so radically different than anything they could ever think of.

I like how Fury's mistrust of the team allowed him to unknowingly circumvent the bug Harry was using, though it makes me wonder if there's a visual surveillance aspect that Harry could (or is) be using.

Regarding the phone...unless I'm missing something, I didn't see anything to indicate Harry was aware they were using it to track him.

Wait, so not only both Weasley twins were alive (I forgot wich one of them was offed in DH) but Sirius as well? I thought not getting together with Ginny after DH was point of divergence, but it seems not (or was it Ressurection stone?)

And yeah, the only way to protect SHIELD key areas against Harry's "teleportation" should be with magic, otherwise we would get another cliche'd "magic is another form of energy and those silly deluded fools capabable of utilizing it never realize it because they are stuck in Middle Ages"

Pity for them though, that Harry is the only wizard on the planet :) (And they don't know about portkeys as well;))

As you said earlier (and I'm tremendously glad for it!) magic is crazy reality warping, and it should stay illogical, law-defying and, well, magical.
