This is a manga about power levels. The way quincies work just doesn't actually matter. The reason stealing bankai is a bad thing is that sword levels directly reflects the shinigami's power level. Early on they didn't use sword powers at all, then they were all about shikai, then at captain level serious fights become all about bankai. Then there's weird shit with hollows and Ichigo mastering his inner self or some such nonsense for another power level.

That stuff doesn't really apply to Kenpachi the same way. He just hits you with his sword harder.

One Piece is already balancing out in the top 3 (in America at least, it's #1 in Japan) so it'll probably move to number two, and going by a few manga sites for popularity number three will either be Fairy Tail or Reborn.

 

Nothing will ever overtake One Piece in Japan, though.

Nope, there's been a handful of titles ahead of Bleach (others than One Piece and Naruto) since what, late 2010?

 

In pure sales number's it's been behind for a while, but it still has the reputation/legacy of being part of the Big Three, and no clear replacement has popped up yet.

 

TBH the biggest manga in Jump right now are Naruto, One Piece, and Toriko - they're raking in all the money. Toriko's been a huge hit with the kids, and the anime and related merchandising is a similarly large success.
